Isaiah
The night before Ely’s funeral, Vel had pulled him upstairs into her bed and had ordered him to get comfortable. She’d then told Ash to do the same. Both of them laid on the bed with Vel’s head on Isaiah’s chest while her bottom half twisted with Ash’s. She’d dozed off almost instantly, but neither he or Ash could sleep.
Isaiah’s mind was far too restless, but having Vel so close to him felt too good for him to disrupt her. After revealing how she truly felt about Ely’s death, she’d kept her emotions hidden from them. Isaiah wasn’t sure if it was to protect them, or because she didn’t feel safe.
‘Probably both,’ Ash mentally said, scrubbing his hand over his face as if that would get rid of the storm brewing.
‘I would rather get hurt by her words than her hiding herself.’
‘I know. Renly said she pulled him aside to check on his family after the last meeting. He thought that was very sweet of her, especially since they weren’t very close.’
‘I’m going to lose my shit tomorrow.’
‘We both will.’
Vel grunted between them and stretched. “You know, I hoped that by letting you two sleep here, you’d get some rest so you can look halfway decent tomorrow. I now regret that choice and I’m about to throw you out.”
“We’re sorry,” Isaiah apologised, pressing a kiss to her head before she had the chance to move it.
“I didn’t know you cared about our appearance that much.”
“So, we do look decent most of the time?” Isaiah added to his brother’s tease.
“I never said you didn’t.”
“She thinks we’re pretty, Isaiah.” Ash practically squealed like a little schoolgirl.
She sat up and rolled her eyes, kneeling between the two of them. “What will shut you two up so you can get some sleep? I’m not above waking Detlef to medicate you.”
Ash’s eyes travelled from her concerned face down to the crook of her neck, his canines aching as much as Isaiah’s to finally mark her. She was their only remedy, and their minds had never been so united. Isaiah teased over her leg, tickling her inner thigh. Ash’s fingers curled around the hem of her shirt and revealed the soft skin of her waist.
“Medicating us won’t be necessary,” Isaiah hummed as his fingertips grazed over the thin fabric barrier between his hand and that sweet pussy.
“Not unless you’re willing to stay up for a little while longer” Ash added, lifting her shirt just a little higher.
She sighed, surprising them both that it came out as more of a disguised moan.
Isaiah pushed himself off the mattress, using his newfound leverage to press his fingers against her core. “You’re the only thing we’ll ever need.”
“You’ll put us to sleep, right?” Ash pleaded and Isaiah loved how her cheeks flushed.
She bit her lip, gaze flicking between the two of them. Though she hadn’t answered out loud, she hadn’t said no either—so, Isaiah would take what he could.
“I can show you how,” he told her. “Would you like that, little luna?”
Her eyes grew larger in the dim silver light that peeked through the window, but slowly—very slowly—she nodded.
Isaiah reached up, freeing her lip from her teeth. “Now, you know better than that,” he tenderly reminded her. “I’ll ask again; do you want me to show you how to put Ash and me to sleep?”
“Yes.”
Isaiah sucked in a breath, pressing his lips to Vel’s in a needing kiss. Her lips were soft, the bottom one swollen from her own teeth. Isaiah chuckled and pulled back when he realised she wasn’t breathing.
“Breathe, moonlight,” Ash instructed.
As if that served as a reminder that she wasn’t, she took a deep breath.
“Just like that,” Isaiah praised.
