Halloween Night - 1995
“…The country is still reeling from the October 3rd verdict where former football star O.J. Simpson was found not guilty of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman…”
The low drone of the radio crackled while the announcer’s somber voice recapped famous trial as Jeremy Jones kissed down the side of my neck.
I huffed in irritation. Background noise or not, the grisly subject was ruining the mood. Tonight was supposed to be a special night. In celebration of my 18th birthday, we were going to go all the way. Why did we have to be listening to this right now? Why not music from Boyz II Men or something sweet like that.
I reached for the dial, my eyes looking at the other cars nearby, also lined up along the dark edge. I bet those kids were getting it on right now. Here I was, my senior year, still a fucking virgin.
Feeling me go rigid, Jeremy pulled back from slobbering all over my ear. “What’s wrong, baby?”
“I’m tired of listening to this case. It’s all anyone talks about.”
“Mmm.” Jeremy leaned forward and inhaled my hair. “It’s disgusting how obsessed people are with death, baby.”
I nodded, trying to focus on him rather than the unsettling thoughts creeping into my mind. “Yeah, it’s pretty crazy. Morbid.”
“Turn to FM,” he encouraged.
When I switched over from AM, the song Lick It from 20 Fingers filled the Mustang.
“Yeah, baby,” Jeremy crooned, smiling. He shed his school jersey and t-shirt, showcasing toned muscle in the radio light, then leaned back in to press his lips to mine.
Our kisses grew more passionate, our hands more adventurous. He reached over me and laid my leather seat back, then unbuckled his jeans. I threaded my fingers in his hair while he pulled up my cheer top and kissed where the fabric of my bra covered my areola.
It was finally happening. I had kept my promise to my mother and her memory. Now I was an adult, and I could have sex free and clear of any guilt. Jeremy and I had waited all year for this.
As the song faded into commercials, I heard the faint, unmistakable roar of a motorcycle engine approaching, ready to ruin the quiet, romantic atmosphere. It seemed ominous, the way it echoed in the autumn night. Grrr.
Unable to relax, I abruptly sat up and straightened my top. “Maybe we should?—”
“No, baby. You promised.”
I sighed heavily. “Let’s go back to your house then.”
“There is no privacy there.” Jeremy kissed me again. “I just want it to be me and you.” His mouth trailed to my throat. “No parents. No siblings. No pets. No trick-o-treaters. Just us and this moment.”
He was right. This was about as much privacy as we’d get tonight, even with the other five or so cars.
Set deep in the woods, Haddonfield Point was a regular hangout for the older teens attending Our Lady of Sorrows. The forest-lined cliffside above Crystal Lake allowed us to party without interference from adults. Tonight was particularly lovely too, with a nearly-full moon shining brightly in the clear sky. It wasn’t as crowded as usual, being a school night and all.
“Focus on me, princess.” Jeremy murmured, his hand sliding up my pleated skirt. I gasped when his fingers delved beneath my spanks and grazed my clit lightly. “I’m going to make it feel so good.”
A female scream pierced the night, which was immediately followed by cheers from Jeremy and the other guys in the surrounding cars.
He rolled down our window. “Yo! Go harder! Make her scream your name!” he bellowed, adding to revelry.
There was a ton of rocking from the neighboring car, but the interior was pitch black, concealing the identity of the couple.
A heavy hand hit the passenger window, forcing me to jump from the surprise. I tried to get a better look as the foggy smear left behind, but Jeremy loomed in front of my vision.
