The prick who thinks he’s better than one of our own. Too bad he won’t be able to boast after tonight. He’s a little more risky being on the track team, but our parents can go to hell if they want to complain about the choice.
If the college and police in this town were smart, you’d think they would catch on to the mysterious disappearances that always happen on Friday the thirteenth over the years.
But money talks and nameless nobodies are never cared about.
We pull our ATVs back to the edge of the woodline and climb off. It’s time to search for the last one. A quick check of my watch tells me we’re ahead of schedule.
My eyes roam over the crowd, waiting for the girls to make their way over to us, but they’re nowhere to be found.
Man, this night keeps getting better and better. We thought we’d have a hell of a time trying to ditch them, but they’re giving us the space we want. Maybe there are some redeeming qualities to them we didn’t know about.
Meh, it’s still not enough for me to want to tie myself to her for the rest of my life.
“See him anywhere?” Jensen leans into me.
“Not sure. Let’s head inside. We know he’s here. There’s no way he isn’t going to be. Not with all his frat buddies here and the free pussy running around.”
The key is to get him away from everyone once we find him. Jensen has contingency plans for everything.
We head inside and make a few laps, the two of them looking downstairs while I head upstairs. Room by room I check, but the only thing I find are people in various states of fucking. All it does is make me yearn for what I know is coming.
When he’s nowhere to be found, I head down the stairs, Jensen and Jonas waiting at the bottom.
“Any luck?”
“No, let’s head out front; it's the only place left to look.” We move in a single file unit toward the door, stepping out onto the front porch. The front yard is relatively empty since the fire pit is in the backyard.
“Wait, look over there,” Jonas whispers, pointing in the direction of the cars. “Is that him?”
“Yeah, it fucking is. Who has the needle?” Jensen asks, already moving down the steps.
“I do,” Jonas announces proudly, patting his jacket.
“Give it to me. The two of you head over and distract him. I’ll sneak up from behind and stick him. We can carry him to the woodline and move to the back, where the ATVs are. Then the fun begins, and he’s the lucky one to be first.” Jensen stops at the end of the steps, turning to face us, rubbing his hands together like an evil villain before reaching for the needle.
Jonas hands it to him, and we head toward Jack, while Jensen sneaks around the side of the cars.
Game on.
CHAPTER TWELVE
Unknown
Aww, look at them. So excited about tonight’s activities. Too bad I’m going to fuck up everything they planned. I’ll give them a little satisfaction, but that’s it.
It was so nice of them to handle getting everyone into their spots. Saved me a lot of work.
While I’m sad I won’t get the joy of watching Jack bleed, his blood splattering around me as I create a masterpiece with it, I’ll still get the joy from the others until I’m ready to reveal myself.
Since Jack is their last, I know they’ll start with him before heading to the other two, taking them out one by one, until only the girl is left.
Too bad only Jensen is going to get the thrill of the kill tonight. While I’m good, I can only be in so many places and I don’t want to show my cards yet.
But after tonight, I’ll be wearing my rightful crown.
This is just the beginning.
Hals and Jonas move toward Jack, Jensen creeping around the cars. Now is my time.
