“You’ll never win,” I whispered, and his grip tightened.

“And what do you think you can do to me?”

I shoved at his chest, and he changed his hold to my biceps, his fingertips sinking in deep, causing a twinge.

He swiveled me back to the desk, my backside pressing against the corner. “Tell me,milaya. What do you think you can do?”

I lifted my chin. “I’ve... been through worse than this.”

The corners of his lips quirked up. “If you think a spanking is all I’m capable of, you should let your imagination wander a little.”

“I’m just a worthless piece of trash to you, probably carrying a dozen diseases. No matter what you do, it won’t make any difference.” My insides quivered, and I bit down on my tongue. Why did I goad him like that?

Knock. Knock.

I yanked my arm free, and he released his hold, rupturing our stand-off as the doors opened.

He pressed his lips together, his eyes scanning my face. “Let’s put that notion to the test.”

Three men strode in, each with a matching brown leather briefcase. The one on the right was a broad, burly figure, while his companions stood tall and lanky. The man in the middle wore wire-rimmed glasses perched on an aquiline nose. He had a soft, receding hairline, while his counterparts were distinguished by their military-style cuts. The trio exuded a sense of power, their movements calculated and purposeful.

I glanced over my shoulder and found Sacha’s piercing stare fixed on me. A churning darkness roiled within him, blotting out the light like an inky black cloud. Cold dread filled my veins as time stood still.

“There are things I can do to you that will draw nightmares from the darkest corners of your mind,” he said, his voice low, then addressed the men who had settled on the far side of his desk.

Laughter burst out from them as they sized me up. Sacha turned his gaze to me. “I may not wish to touch you, but their standards are lower than mine.”

The sinewy man with the wire-rimmed glasses shifted forward eagerly, his tongue darting across his lips as he eyed the exposed skin on my legs. I gulped, wishing that the lump in my throat would choke me.

Sacha cut right into me without a second thought.

“Sit on his lap.”

My heart sank and my stomach churned. Was he serious?

“Sacha…”

The terror in my voice seemed to amuse them, and they snickered amongst themselves.

“They want to know why I’m willing to share someone like you. What should I tell them?”

“Someone… like me?” My stomach dropped at his words, a combination of embarrassment and disgust flooding my veins.

How could he do this to me?

“Someone so beautiful.”

The two men on the end shifted, and the other glanced at his watch.

“You can’t be serious? I won’t do it.”

Sacha shook his head. “Tsk, tsk, tsk. I’ve already told them you would.”

The world around me dropped away, the air growing thick and heavy as my chest clenched. “Tell them you’ve made a mistake,” I said, my voice shaking with desperation, threatening to reveal my terror. Sweat dribbled down my back, cascading into a nauseous swirling in my stomach. I wasn’t his plaything, and even in the face of the unknown, I couldn’t bring myself to sit on this man’s lap, especially without any underwear.

“This is where you decide if your life is worth taking a chance, milaya.”

The middleman leaned forward, baring his white teeth in a wide grin. The blocky man beside him slapped his shoulder with a chuckle.
