“Well, aren’t you a feisty one,” Az replied, eyes raking over her. Eidie did her best to ignore how her pulse quickened. “I can see how you managed to summon me here.”

“Summon you? Like a ghost or a—”

“Demon? Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner,” he replied sarcastically.

Eidie stared at him. “I did no such thing.”

“Well, I suppose itisa bit of a stretch that you summoned me…” Az trailed off. He lifted his muscular arms up, tucking them behind his head. Eidie noticed suddenly that he was shirtless, wearing nothing but a dark pair of harem–style pants. Her eyes were glued to his strong, wide chest and row after row of rippling abdominal muscles.

“Wh…what do you mean?” She fought for words, trying not to dribble. “If I didn’t summon you here, then who did?”

Az shot her a grin that made Eidie’s stomach flip over and nodded his head towards the floor. She followed the direction of his gesture, spotting the Roomba scooting back and forth over the new Ouija board rug. Eidie burst out laughing.

“You have to be joking?” She shook her head. “TheRoomba?”

“It's Halloween, darlin'. The veil is thin tonight and it takes less effort than you'd think. Roomba, plus enchanted rug, plus you fixating on thisstartlinglyaccurate depiction of me…” he trailed off and held up the book.

Of course, the romance book – ‘Demon from Downunder’! That certainly explained the Australian accent. Eidie was completely bewildered. Enchantments were real? Demons too? What did this mean? Where had Az come from? She had so many questions, yet her lust–addled mind could only focus on one thing.

“You’ve got two cocks?” she asked plainly, flushing anew when Az started laughing.

“I’m glad you’ve got your priorities straight, darlin’. We’re going to get on like a house on fire, I can already tell.” He smirked. As she held his eye contact, the humour faded from his expression and his gaze grew heated. “Why don’t you come a little closer and find out?”

“I shouldn’t,” Eidie replied, voice barely above a whisper as she fought to remain in the doorway.

“Eidie, I’ve been summoned here for a reason. The embodiment of lust doesn’t get wheeled out for nothin’, y’know.”

“Lust?” Even saying the word had her muscles trembling. “That explains a lot.”

“Curious?” Az asked, voice low. Eidie didn’t have a chance to reply before he continued. “I know my way around a cunt. I wouldn’t be opposed to showing you a few of the tricks I’ve picked up in the millennia I’ve been doing this gig.”

Eidie gasped, shooting the demon an admonishing scowl as she desperately tried to ignore the throbbing between her legs.

“Or just stand over there with your pussy dripping down your legs.” Az shrugged, picking up the book once more. “See if I’m bothered.”

Eidie remained frozen, torn between wondering if she’d fallen in the shower and hit her head and wanting to jump the sexy stranger lounging on her sofa. It occurred to her that she should be trying to escape, or at the very least banish him…

“The power of Christ compels you?” she said, her voice meek and shaking.

“Oh, please. That shit only works in the movies.” Az’s dark eyes rolled. He licked his thumb to turn a page and Eidie immediately noticed his tongue wasforked– just like the demon in that book.

“How do I get rid of you, then?”

Az smirked as he caught her eye. “The easiest way would be to just give me what I want. What youdesperatelywant too, by the smell of you.” He turned his attention back to the book. “But I’m the patient sort, Eidie. I can wait.”

Eidie’s mind ran in circles. She had read so many books about spells, summoning, demonic possession – why couldn’t she remember anything of any use?! Her eyes scanned over her shelves, hunting for something, anything… When she spotteda bundle of sage, a wide smile immediately stretched across her face. She broke from her spot at the door, running to her bookshelf and snatching it up.

“Whoa, where’s the fire?” Az said, sitting up.

Eidie scurried into the kitchen, her hands shaking as she tugged open a draw and located a pack of matches. Her fingers fumbled with the tiny wooden sticks, but before she had the chance to strike one, Eidie found herself flying across the room. A supernatural force pinned her to the wall, her feet dangling two feet from the floor. She gasped and cried out as Az stalked towards her.

“Eidie, Eidie, Eidie,” he murmured, shaking his head. He grimaced, grasping the bundle of sage between his thumb and forefinger and heading to the bin. He pressed the pedal down and dropped the herbs into it.

“I fucking hate that stuff,” he muttered, a shudder rippling through his tall frame. “Just as well I caught you before you had the chance to light it, or I would have had cause toreallymake you pay.”

Eidie trembled, a nervous whimper escaping her as Az slowly closed the distance between them. She tried to close her eyes, but a mysterious force held them open. She was vulnerable, unable to run, to hide… Her heart pounded in her chest. What was he going to do to her?

“Why don’t you just give me what I’m here for, darlin’? It really would be much easier for both of us. I don’t bite… Well, not unless youwantme to.” Az grinned at her and Eidie was helpless but to stare at the bright fangs. She didn’t much fancy having those anywhere near her.
