“Uhh, the same thing as you,” she says, pushing past me.

“I hope not,” I say before I realize I shouldn’t have.

She throws her purse on Jayden’s bed and spins around with a smirk. “Why’s that?”

“Because you're her second brother and think you have some sort of say?” Monique asks with a smirk, crossing her arms.

“I’m not like her brother.”

“You can come to parties, drink, hookup, but I can’t?” Vi questions, slowly making her way toward me.

I try not to focus too hard on her pink, pouty lips, or big green eyes. And I definitely avoid the cleavage she’s sporting in that black bikini top.

“Does Renzo know you’re here?”

“I didn’t see him when I came in, but I just got here. Jay said we could bring our stuff up.”

“You two need to be careful. Some of these guys aren’t good guys. They’ll try to take advantage of you.”

“Maybe I want someone to take advantage of me,” Vi says, before her and her friend start giggling.

I cross my arms. “No, you don’t.”

“Ooh. Big brother’s coming out,” Monique says, moving past me. “See that, Vi?”

“I do,” she replies with a smirk. “Don’t worry, brother. I won’t be too bad,” she says, pouting her lips. “I just want to have fun.”

“Stop calling me your brother.”

“Why?”

“Because I’m not.”

Violet smiles at me before walking out. God, she’s infuriating.

I follow them out and down the stairs until we get to the kitchen. “Don’t take drinks from anyone,” I warn them.

“Okay,” Vi answers with a laugh. “You’re like my dad now.”

I furrow my brows. “I just care.”

“What’re you doing here?” Renzo asks, stalking up to us.

Violet rolls her eyes. “Oh my God, you think I don’t know people? Everyone’s heard about this party.”

“You’re only eighteen,” Zo says.

“So? You didn’t party at eighteen? Don’t lie.”

Renzo looks at me before staring back at Vi. “Don’t do anything stupid. Don’t take drinks from anyone and don’t leave your drink anywhere. Not every guy here has the best intentions.”

Violet pulls her bottom lip in, trying not to laugh. “Yes, big brother. My other brother, Dex, already gave me the same lecture. Now, if it’s okay with you two, we’re gonna go have some fun. Don’t ruin it for me.”

“Sometimes I wish I had a brother,” Zo complains.

I grin. “She’s right though. You remember the shit we were doing at eighteen?”

“That’s exactly why I don’t want her messing with guys. We’re all terrible.”
