“There are laws that even you must follow, Alpha.” Ginger smiled sadly.

Outside the crowd was growing restless. Misha and Ross were so wound up, she didn’t know what to do.

“I need time alone. Please, you two go outside. But make no announcements,” she told them.

“Ginger—”

“Love, we can just go—”

“No. Now promise me you will not say a word. But please, I need a moment.” Ginger stepped between them. “Promise?”

“My love, an Alpha must follow the rules of the Clan, but you are a normal and I will not have you hurt,” growled Misha, resting his forehead against hers.

“He’s right. The Clan is not more important than you,” Ross said, pressing his lips to the mate mark he’d given her on her shoulder.

Ginger shivered and allowed herself a moment of being held by her two males. They were so perfect, and she would die protecting them as they would her. She knew that as the truth deep down inside her very soul.

“I love you both, but promise me you will not say anything until I come outside?”

“But—”

“Promise me,” she begged.

“Yes.”

“Promise.”

Almost instantly they agreed, as she knew they would. Her males were nothing if not loyal and trustworthy. They would do as she asked.

“Okay, Clarice, talk.”

“Ginger, if I may, Bruce’s sister Amy has issued a challenge to you because you are a normal mate.” Clarice winced at the descriptor, but it was only the truth.

Ginger was a normal.

“So?”

“So...” the female began.
