Even though I’ve not stopped thinking about the man, I’m still pleasantly surprised when I take my first look at him. He’s wearing black skinny jeans and a band top of I don’t know who, his hair is pulled into a messy bun on the top of his head.

Damn him for being so fucking pretty.

He has a couple of shopping bags hanging on his arms and when I look up at his face, he has that stupid smirk plastered on his lips. “Well, fancy seeing moody arse out here.”

Moody arse? Jesus, how old is this guy?

I roll my eyes. “Whatever, I’m running late. So, if you’ll excuse me.”

“Aw baby, don’t be like that. Haven’t you missed me?” he says as he bats his lashes.

“No, I haven’t missed you.”And I also haven’t been jerking off to thoughts of you.

I know he’s mocking me and he looks cute while doing so. I shake my head; no, the man isn’t cute. He’s rude and entitled.

I ignore him as I unlock my car door and place the box of cupcakes on the passenger side seat. I continue to blank him as I walk around the car and get in the driver’s side. Feeling him watching me is just further pissing me off.

When I look out of the window, I see that he’s put his shopping down on the floor. His green eyes are squinted as he looks at me, I keep watching to see what else he’s going to do, but he doesn't do anything.

I turn the car on and start driving away, when I do a quick check in the rear-view mirror, I see him standing there with both of his middle fingers shoved up high.

I pull up to my parents’ house running only a few minutes late when my phone buzzes on the passenger side seat. I click the screen and see a notification from Voyeurism Fans.

TheMaskedBrat94 followed you back.

Fuck. I don’t have time to sit and think up a plan, so I force myself to open the car door and grab the case of chocolate chip muffins, before shoving my phone in my pocket.

Hopefully, we can eat and then I can leave. I can use the excuse of working tomorrow for my early slip-out if need be.

Chapter 7 –

Vincent

Since the shop is quiet, Jude – Nate’s partner, has decided to hang around after bringing us some sandwiches for lunch. He’s a real sweetheart and super thoughtful. At least once a week he’ll bring dinner for Nate, and seeing as I’m always here, he usually brings enough food for me.

After closing the lid on his lunch box, Jude turns to me and says, “You’ll be coming to the ceremony, right?”

I rinse my mouth with the last sip of coke as I nod my head. “For sure I’ll be there. Nate mentioned that you’re wanting to do it as a fancy-dress event?”

Jude smiles, his white teeth sparkling under the shop’s bright lights. “Yeah. Believe it or not, I’ve never been to a fancy-dress party and now that I have my independence back, I want to do all the stuff that I missed out on when I was younger.”

Ah, yes that’s right. Jude was dealing with a lot of shit with his mum, but she’s in prison now and he’s been able to make peace with all that stuff.

“I like that idea. Plus, kinksters always have the best get-up, so I know everybody will look amazing.”Especially me, I think to myself. And no, that’s not me being arrogant. I’m just telling the truth.

Jude sighs before saying, “I don’t know what I’m going to wear yet. I want to stand out, but then I kinda don’t at the same time.” He leans back in his chair and huffs. “What are you dressing up as?”

I shrug, “I’m not a hundred per cent sure, I have a latex mask that looks pretty cool. I’ve never been to that club before, so I might go one night before your party and check the place out.”

Jude claps his hands together, “How about you come with Jamie and me? We try to go once every few weeks and we’re going tomorrow night?”

That does sound like fun, and I do like Jamie even though we’ve only met briefly a couple of times. “Are you sure you want me there? I wouldn’t want to invade on your night out.”

He waves a hand in the air and says, “No don’t be silly, it’ll be a great night. I don’t drink much, but I enjoy dancing and watching the live shows they have on stage. I promise that you’ll have fun with us.”

I scoff and playfully roll my eyes, “Ugh fine. You’ve convinced me. I’ll be there. You do know what this means, right?”

Jude huffs. He’s used to my dramatic tendencies by now. “No Vincent, I don’t know what that means. But, I’m sure you’re about to tell me.”
