And then I hold her in my arms, coming to my knees and wrapping my arms around her tightly.

“Thank you for trusting me.”

“How could I not? You’re mine and I’m yours. And nobody will ever break us apart.” She pulls back, a slight smile on her lips. “But I’ll tell you a secret….” I lean closer. “I can’t wait to do that again.”

I throw back my head with a laugh that echoes through the night. “Neither can I, my love. Neither can I.”

I thought the curse would keep me from finding the love of my life but just one look was all it took. Our future stretches in front of us, one look, one flight, one night at a time. For all eternity.

Idon’t know what’s going on. There’s a barrier that won’t let me leave Magic and everyone around me is on edge. That earthquake that knocked me out and made me hit my head, I guess, since I dreamt that I saw a dragon.

When everybody knows dragons don’t exist.

And then there’s the sheriff. Sheriff Lobo Canton has been following me around and it’s starting to drive me nuts.

There’s just something about the man. He’s too big, too muscular and too damn gorgeous. His eyes are like lasers on me and I’ve started dreaming about the man. Craving his touch.

I don’t understand what’s going on but there’s something strange about Magic, Wyoming and I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to be able to pretend that there’s not.

I have tried to keep myself out of whatever’s happening but it’s feeling closer and closer to swallowing me whole.

Something’s coming and good or bad, Magic is the place where it’s all going to come to a head. I just hope that I’m not caught in the crossfire.
