“Show me your pussy.”
Katia screamed as she bent over giving both the men a perfect view of her most private place.
Jessica shook her head and clicked her fingers. Out of nowhere a needle and thread appeared. It traversed its way through the barriers of the cage, and despite Weston trying to escape, it sewed his mouth together.
“Stand, Katia. You have freedom of movement.” Jessica ordered again, and this time Weston was not able to command anything further.
“Can you break the spell, Jessica?” Katia immediately asked her friend.
Jackson watched the two interact together. He could see the bond between them even though they were different species. Jessica held her hand out to Katia and started to chant…but nothing happened.
“I’m sorry. Ciaran has built in a fail-safe to my magic.”
“No.” Katia turned her head toward Jackson. “This is worse than them using me.”
Jessica lowered her head. “I can’t break the spell, but someone else might be able to.”
The witch floated along the floor toward Weston’s cage again. Her eyes fell back into her head until the whites of them were showing. She placed her hands on the bars of the cage, and an energy field spread around it.
Weston tried to push himself as far away from the encroaching blue light as possible. It was futile, though. It encompassed the entire cage as it grew brighter. Jackson shielded his eyes when it got too much for him to see what was happening. Suddenly an explosion ripped through the room, knocking him off his feet. He was momentarily stunned. When he opened his eyes again, the light had vanished, Jessica had disappeared, and Weston, his mouth no longer stitched together, was freed from the cage.
Jackson sniffed the air, the scent of magic was gone from the brothel owner. Had Jessica turned him into a human? Weston immediately tried to form an energy ball to throw at them, but nothing happened. Katia stepped forward, her body turning to that of a tigress as she moved.
“Katia, change into a human.” Weston commanded, and her body started to change back to human.
“Animal.” Jackson shouted, but his order was matched by one of Weston’s.
This was a standoff that would harm Katia the longer it carried on. Jackson remembered when Jessica had placed her hand over his heart and told him he loved Katia. He knew what he had to do. He stepped forward, and as the tigress turned into a full human again, he placed his hand over her heart. She looked up at him.
“Nobody has the ability to control your actions except yourself. Nobody in the world can force you to do anything you don’t want to, because you have a strength in your heart that can’t be matched. Not by me and certainly not by Weston. Believe in it, Katia, trust in the hope for a better future, and you’ll find your freedom. That is how you break the spell.
“I don’t think I can,” she replied, her wide, blue eyes staring up at him in fear. He lowered his forehead to hers and pressed his lips against hers.
“Believe in it for us, for the chance at a future together. I love you. I’ve made mistakes, and you are the only one who can save me from them. You’re the strongest person I know, Katia. And whether or not you can find it in your heart to forgive me and love me, I’ll be at your side forever more, protecting you and making sure you know how strong you are. You’re not a product of Weston’s making. You’ve survived and always will. You possess the power to make your own decisions.”
Katia looked over his shoulder to where Weston stood, cowering in the corner. Jackson stepped aside, and she started walking toward her prey as her body began to shift to her tigress again.
Sit,” Weston ordered.
Katia paused, and her legs started to give way, but Jackson felt the exact moment when the spell broke. The strength of the love between them had worked. Katia was free. She continued shifting until she stood proudly in full animal form. She leaped toward Weston, who cowered down on the floor waiting for his inevitable death. It didn’t happen, though. Katia shifted back into her human form and landed in front of him.
“This is why humans think we’re savages, but we aren’t. We aren’t executioners. There are better punishments for you, and living with failure is one of them.”
Katia backed up until she was standing next to Jackson once more. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
“Let’s get you back to the mansion. I think Kas can deal with him.”
Suddenly, the air flashed around them, and Jackson and Katia were both thrown backward onto the floor. When their sight adjusted following the blast, Weston was dead on the floor, and Nuka Lincoln stood next to the body.
“You may not be executioners, but I had fun doing that. Stupid little man was ruled by money and his dick. Deserved everything he got.”
Katia positioned herself into a fighting stance, her body prepared to shift if required.
“I’m not here to attack you. I mean I’m upset I didn’t get a chance to sample your pussy, but I have plenty of it on tap at home, so it’s not like I’m desperate or anything.”
“And you were just saying Weston was ruled by money and his dick.”
“You forget one thing, Miss Morgan. I’m ruled by power as well. My need for it drives everything in my world, and yours too—thanks to my brother’s incompetence. But enough of that. My real reason for being here is you, Jackson.”
