"Yes, I'm here," I replied, sitting on the bed. Eric sat next to me, holding the phone.

"Why did you hang up on me earlier?"

I looked at Eric, and he kept looking at our son, who was bringing his eyes close to the phone camera as if that way, he would get to see me through it.

"It's a secret I'll tell you when I get home," I said, and Eric turned to look at me with wide eyes. "I promise you're going to love it."

"Okay, mommy, you'll come tomorrow, right?"

Eric's expression softened, and his lips lined up again in an isolated expression.

"Yes, baby, I'm coming home tomorrow."

"I miss you so much," he said, moving the phone from side to side.

"I miss you more," I said. "And I miss your little hugs more." He laughed amusedly.

"I'll give you lots of hugs and kisses when you come home," he told me.

I leaned back against Eric's bare torso and breathed softly as I enjoyed our first moment together as a little family. Eric had an expression of sadness for my return to the city but, at the same time, a huge excitement to hear his son's voice and see him for the first time.

"It's time for you to go to bed. You have to go to school tomorrow," I remember him.

Elliot tilted his head to the side and pouted. "I know, but I didn't want to sleep without saying goodnight to you."

I felt homesick to be away from my son and clung to Eric. "Goodnight, my baby, love you to the moon and back."

He hung up the call, and Eric placed the phone on the nightstand with a somber expression.

"I don't want you to leave," he said, holding my hand. "I want to bring Elliot here, and I want you both to stay with me forever."

At that point, I didn't doubt Eric, I knew his intentions were pure, but I still couldn't do what he wanted overnight.

"I know, and we'll do it soon," I said. "But first, I have to do a few things. I have my life made over there, and so does Elliot."

Eric pursed his lips and dropped his shoulders.

"I don't know if I can handle being away from you," he replied. "I can't let you disappear from my life again. I couldn't stand it, less now that I know Elliot exists. I want to make up for all the time lost with him."

I felt like I was between a rock and a hard place, I didn't want to leave, but I knew it was what I had to do. Besides, I was going to come back, but he didn't seem very convinced.

I took his hand and squeezed it gently to get his attention, and when he turned to me, I crushed my lips to his and lay on top of him on the bed. Eric relaxed as he kissed me back, caressing my hips as his heartbeat began to accelerate.

Chapter 20 Eric

I lay back on the bed as Cathy leaned against my chest melting her soft lips on mine, I couldn’t stop smiling, and she noticed it.

"Why the smile?" she asked.

"Because I'm enjoying it," I replied heady with her scent.

Cathy laid on top of me and kissed me again while stroking my biceps. She pressed hard, making the warmth of her skin penetrate mine giving me the feeling that our connection had intensified since we were now being truthful with each other.

My wolf was awake, and I felt its desperation to be with her. It was roaring at me to mark her with the bite, but I, of all people, knew that if I did, she wouldn't understand.

I bent forward to sit up and take control, but she put her palms on my chest and gently pushed me down. "Stay there," she asked me in an agitated voice.

I did as she said, feeling my cock get hard just seeing her like this, she was like a hungry beast, and I was her prey.
