Wilson stills against me before he comes with a roar. His cock jerks inside of me for a second before he spills long streams of his hot seed into my womb. He pounds into me through the orgasm, thrusting roughly until my pussy has milked him of everything.

My body loses tension, and I fall flat onto the carpet and he follows me down. His weight feels like a protective cloak wrapped around my back. Warm and comforting. “I love you, Sandy,” he whispers, brushing his lips over my shoulder before he takes his weight off my back, and I whine at the loss. He lies down next to me and pulls me into his arms, cradling me. “I love you.”

I want to say the words back to him, but for the life of me, I can’t find my voice, so I do the next best thing. I lean in and kiss his jaw, nuzzling his neck and moaning in pleasure when he rubs his massive hand down my back.

If this is what I have to look forward to for the rest of my life, then I can’t wait to start living it with him by my side.

My boss. My lover.

My fiancé.

Epilogue

Six Years Later

Wilson

I search for my wife in the crowd, but I don’t spot her. It seems she is running late, which is very unlike her. I am tempted to reach into my jacket for my phone, but I called her only fifteen minutes ago and she assured me she was dropping the kids off at my parents.

It doesn’t stop me from worrying, and quite frankly, from missing her.

This is getting ridiculous. Six years of being with the woman, but I still miss her every moment she is away from me.

Fuck it, I’m going to call her, I decide. Before I can dial her number, a hand smacks my back, and I turn around to find my younger brother Ray grinning from ear to ear. He has one arm slung over his wife, who is heavy with their fourth child. He is only younger by two years, but sometimes it seems like there is a decade between his forty years and my forty-two.

“Wilson, congratulations on making managing partner. Took you long enough,” he says, clapping my shoulder once more. “I thought Dad would never hand over the reins. You totally earned it.”

I stare at my brother and question if he’s been getting enough sleep lately. It’s his wife that’s pregnant. “I took over the firm a year ago, Ray. Why are you bringing it up now?”

“I know, but I never got a chance to congratulate you.”

“You sent flowers and a card.”

His brows furrow. “I did?”

I shake my head once more. “They were lilies,” I tell the clueless man before turning to my sister-in-law. “My wife and I loved the flowers, Penny.”

“You’re welcome.” She beams before turning to my clueless brother. “You helped me pick the flowers, remember?”

“Is that what they were for?”

She lightly slaps his chest and shakes her head, but I see the love she has for him. “You promised me cinnamon rolls.”

“Right,” Ray says, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her toward the table where Annie is busy serving the guests dessert. “Later, Wilson.”

I watch the two walk to the buffet, then I turn back around, ready to call my wife when something in my peripheral grabs my attention. I look up to see my wife walk in, dressed in a beautiful, form-fitting sundress. As she looks around the room frantically, I stare in awe.

Her dress hugs her figure in all the right places, the bodice fitting tight around her ample chest. This woman is the love of my life. She looks breathtaking with her dark brown hair flowing down her back, and I can’t look away.

She spots me, and that beautiful smile graces her lips as she hurries over, nearly tripping in her haste, but I catch her before she does.

“I’m so late,” she whispers, looking around the room. “I couldn’t find my shoes, and when I did, Sofie wanted me to hang out at your parents’ place a bit longer. Liam was a little clingy, more than usual, too it took the sitter bribing them both with ice cream and a puzzle game before they would even let me leave.”

I stare at her, mesmerized by her beauty as she speaks, and once again, I can’t believe that this lovely person is my wife. She quit being my assistant years ago when it became evident we wouldn’t get any work done and was moved to assist another partner. She’s been taking a break from work since Liam came into our world a fifteen months ago, a decision I fully support.

“You are not late,” I tell her. She is a tad late, but watching the relief wash over her face is worth the slight untruth.

Today is Martha’s retirement party, and everyone from the office is here to celebrate her. She’s been working at the firm as long as I can remember, and the woman is a gift. She brought Sandy into my life, and for that, I will forever be grateful to her.
