Page 25 of Daddy's Temptation

I close the distance separating us, and without a word, I wrap my arms around her from behind and press a kiss to the side of her neck. She tenses and tries to squirm out of my grip. “Angel,” I growl lowly in her ear. “You were supposed to call.”

She sinks against me with a sigh, melting into my arms as if they’re her salvation. And they are. She may not realize it yet, but in my arms is the only place she’s going to find solace for the rest of our lives. She might think this arrangement is temporary, but I’m determined to change her mind.

“Daddy,” she breathes.

I lightly nip her ear. “I’ve been worried.”

She turns in my arms and wraps herself around me. It’s the first time she hasn’t pulled away from me in public, and the beast inside me roars in pleasure. “I’m sorry, daddy. I needed to see you.”

I hold her close and kiss her forehead. “I’m glad, but next time call so I know you’re safe. You should have told me you were coming home early.”

She nods, then presses her cheek to my chest, holding me tight. My girl is needy tonight. Not that I’m upset by that in the least. I want Candace to need me. I want to take care of her in every way possible. “What’s wrong, angel?”

She grips tighter and shakes her head, burying her face against me. Her breath hitches, and I know she’s crying. Her tears break my heart. Without a word, I lift her in my arms, she clings to me like a monkey as I carry her through the club to a private room that I’ve spent the last week setting up just for her.

Once the noisy club is shut out by the closed door, I sit in the rocking chair, arranging her carefully on my lap. I hold her as she weeps, rubbing slow circles on her back while murmuring quietly that I’ve got her, and everything will be okay. After a while, she seems to cry herself out.

“Oh God, I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to cry all over you.” Candace looks at me as if she’s completely horrified.

I tuck her hair behind her ear, running my fingertips softly down her jaw. “Never apologize for your feelings. I’m your daddy, that means I’m your safe place.”

“It’s just… well, you didn’t sign up for this.” She looks down at her lap where her hands are wringing anxiously. “This is supposed to just be a little fun…”

“Fuck what this is supposed to be,” I growl. “This is whatever we want it to be, and I want to be the person you turn to when you’re happy or sad or mad or any-fucking-thing. I’m your safe harbor, Candace. You hear me?”

She nods. “Are you—”

“Stop. Don’t question it. I don’t say things I don’t mean. If I say I want to be the one you turn to, I mean it.”

Candace gives me a watery smile and hugs me. “Thank you, daddy,” she whispers.

“You don’t have to thank me for taking care of you. It’s my privilege.”

With a content sigh, she sinks into me. She’s quiet for so long. I think she’s fallen asleep, but then she asks where we are.

“Our room.”

She sits up and gives me a bewildered look. “What do you mean, 'our room?'”

“I mean, I turned one of the private rooms into our room.”

“But… the private rooms are always booked. How…? Why…?”

I tangle my hand in her soft hair and crush my lips to hers, so she stops asking ridiculous questions. I kiss her until she’s breathless. When I pull away, her lips are kiss swollen, and her eyes are hooded with arousal. Exactly how I want her.

“The how is simple, angel. I own the club and can do whatever I want. The why is also simple, because I’m a greedy bastard and don’t want to share you with anyone. You deserve a room fit for a princess.”

Candace giggles happily, then takes in the room for the first time. She slides from my lap with a gasp. “Daddy! This is…” She twirls around looking at everything again. “It’s perfect.”

I look around the room trying to see it through her eyes. The walls are pale purple, there is a reading nook in one corner with a dozen plush pillows and stuffed animals and a bookshelf full of different kinds of books. Everything from picture books to the novels I know she loves to read. All of the furniture is a girly white with heart cutouts… the only thing that doesn’t completely match the little girl theme is the gigantic bed in the middle of the room. The frame is white, and there is a lace canopy that hangs down creating an oasis for the sweetest of little girls to curl up in. It’s also set up for a naughty girl to be tied down and spanked.

“I’m glad you like it.”

“Like it? I love it!” Candace dances over to the reading nook and flops down on the pillows. “It’s like you pulled my dream room straight from my head.”

I chuckle and cross the room to her. I put my hand out, and without question, she puts her hand in mine. I pull her to her feet and kiss the tip of her nose.

“How did you know I wouldn’t like all those other little girl things… you know, dolls and stuff.”
