I managed to get her hair out of the way, holding it in one hand so I could gently rub her back with my free hand. Logan appeared in the doorway with a bottle of water, squatting beside her with a sigh. “When did you eat last?”

“Breakfast,” she rasped out, making me frown. No wonder she felt sick if she’d gotten drunk on an empty stomach.

I glanced at Logan and he gave me a look of understanding, getting to his feet. “You need some toast. I’ll make you some. Keep drinking the water.”

“I don’t want food,” she groaned, gagging at the thought.

“I know, but it will help, trust me,” he answered before leaving the room.

I swore the more water she sipped, the more she threw up, and I cringed as she looked back at me, her face sweaty and her eyes tired.

“Do you want a cool cloth for your face?”

“I want to die. Where’s all our stabby friends when we need them?” she mumbled, making me chuckle as I risked letting her hair go to grab a cloth, soaking it in the sink with cold water. I squatted beside her, patting her clammy face with it.

“You’ll feel better once you eat and take some pain meds. Maybe have a cool shower too, I know that helps me when I’ve drank too much.”

“I just want to go back to sleep. I didn’t even drink much.”

“You’re not used to drinking at all, and you haven't eaten since this morning. Sip the water and let’s get you out to the kitchen for that toast,” I smiled, helping her to her feet and folding the cloth to press it against her forehead. “Hold that there. You’re really warm.”

She did as she was asked, following me out to where Logan had placed a plate of lightly buttered toast with some pain meds.

It took a while for her to eat it, but once she’d managed to keep it down and had taken the pills, we tucked her back into bed between us and she passed out again, making Logan snort.

“Well, I doubt she’ll get drunk again any time soon. So, I guess that's something good that’s come from this.”

“Yeah, maybe,” I mumbled, taking one last glance at her before switching the lamp off and going back to sleep.

CHAPTER FIVE

RAVEN

Ifelt like shit when I woke up alone, checking the time to see it was after ten in the morning.

I dragged my ass out of bed and into the bathroom, relieving my bladder before showering to try and wake myself up better.

There was a light knock on the door before it opened, Logan’s voice reaching me from behind the curtain. “I’ve made you a coffee and breakfast. It’s in the kitchen.”

“Thank you,” I groaned, hearing him chuckle.

“Not feeling too good today, Rae?”

“How do you guys do this all the time?” I complained, closing my eyes to let the warm water run down my head and back.

“We don’t. Our bodies are used to it, unlike yours,” he teased. “I’ll wait for you in the kitchen. Reid and Zavier are out, so at least it’s quiet for you.”

“Where’d they go?”

There was a weird pause before Logan answered, confusing me. “They figured you might want some space this morning after how last night went.”

“Reid thinks I’m still upset that he snapped at me? It’s fine, Devon was just being a dick. I know Reid wasn’t madat me,” I said slowly, poking my head around the curtain to find him frowning. “Did something else happen? I don’t really remember.”

“Oh boy,” he muttered, cringing slightly. “Finish your shower. We’ll talk over breakfast.”

Alarm bells went off in my head as he gave me one final glance before leaving me alone again, my stomach twisting uncomfortably. If someone had touched me, there was no way the guys would’ve left this morning, but why would I need space if something bad hadn’t happened?

I finished rinsing off and climbed out, drying myself in record time and getting dressed into my comfortable sweats and tank top. I wandered out to the kitchen to find Logan at the table texting, coffee and breakfast on the table for both of us.
