I pretended that I was going to pull my hoodie off, but Reid scowled, snatching Zavier’s things from my hold and shoving them at him. “Asshole. Go use your adrenaline rush on someone else.”

I rolled my eyes, enjoying the view until Zavier pulled his shirt back on, and Logan hooked an arm around my shoulders to tug me away. “We’ll meet you guys at the track. I’m going to go and feed Raven, she looks hungry.”

“Get her eyes checked too. Hers don’t seem to be working properly,” Reid deadpanned, Zavier laughing as we walked off towards the hole in the fence.

Zavier

Raven checking me out was making me want to do something stupid, like put my tongue down her throat. Reid was pissy about it, but he was more pissed right now about Raven agreeing to Devon’s bet.

I was glad she had faith in me, but all fights could go bad. What if he’d somehow gotten one over me?

I would’ve gotten to my feet and shot him. No regrets.

Raven was a damn good fighter too, and even she’d been blindsided when she’d had a knife pulled on her in the middle of her last big fight.

She missed it, I knew that, but part of me was grateful she’d stopped. Her injury wasn’t life threatening, but it was a nasty reminder how close we’d gotten to possibly losing her.

Reid and I hung out with Riley and Luna at the track for a while until Beckett arrived with Maddox and Jett, and after an hour, Logan and Raven still weren’t anywhere to be seen.

I was starting to wonder if he’d been helping her sneak around to see her mystery man, but I doubted he’d be able to stop himself from punching the guy.

“Hey,” Beckett grinned, leaning against the Challenger and crossing her arms. “What’s new?”

“Not much,” I said slowly, narrowing my eyes. “What pot are you stirring right now? You look like you’re about to cause trouble.”

“Me? Never. So, I was texting your girl earlier. She told me you know about her newfound sex obsession. How are you handling it? I told you to make a move before someone else did.”

“Would you shut up? Reid doesn’t know and we’re trying to keep it that way,” I warned.

“And Logan?”

“He apparently knows too.”

“Where are they?”

“Logan said something about feeding her, I don’t know,” I shrugged, her eyes dropping to my hands and noticing the split knuckles. “We had a thing earlier before coming here.”

“Someone giving you shit?”

“Nothing we can’t handle. It’s just Heights fun,” I grinned, flexing my fingers.

“Bet you swooned over that photo I sent you the other day. She’s good with kids,” she teased, and she wasn’t wrong. I had the urge to track her down and knock her up myself.

Which was stupid, since we couldn’t afford the people we already had under the roof, so making more was a bad idea.

Raven had always wanted kids of her own one day, but she was smart about it. Being another statistic in the Heights wasn’t on her bingo card this year.

“She likes kids. She’d be a good mom,” I nodded, and she raised an eyebrow.

“Alongside Daddy Zavier?”

“Don’t say shit like that. Reid will beat us both up,” I grumbled, making her laugh.

“Well, if she ever wants to borrow some, we have plenty. Poppy loved her help the other day and said she’s welcome any time. I will warn you though, Noah wants to bang her.”

“He’s not her type, I’m not concerned about that little pipsqueak,” I scoffed as Logan’s car finally appeared at the gate, driving towards us. Raven was driving, and she parked beside us before climbing out.

“You guys took your time,” I observed, my eyes running over her swollen lips and flushed cheeks.
