Taking the curling iron, I wrap my long black hair around the rod for a few seconds. I can be her. It’s too easy. Some new clothes, contacts and boots with an identical leather jacket and boom, I’m her. Now he will love me just as much as he loved her. Curl after curl falls from my head as I take a glance into the mirror, not recognizing myself. All I see is her.

Bending down I slip on high heeled leather boots and zip them over my tight black ripped jeans. I match it with a skull tank top and the red leather jacket. Standing, I check myself in the tall mirror and smirk.

Tonight I’ll make an appearance at Spade’s event and maybe, I can lure him in as well. The thought of taking all of her men and using them for everything they have was fucking intoxicating. They loved her so much and now, I’ll be her for them and strip them of their power.

The Aces will be proud after I’m finished, and everyone will win. Heir after heir after heir. I will reign as the queen since I’m the one that killed their’s. Tonight is the night I fuck with everyones heads and there’s not a thing they can do about it.

I’m Marsela Abazi-Roselli, soon to be the Queen of Hearts.

Sitting in an all white circular room, my nose burns from the strong stench of bleach and chemicals. I fucking hate hospitals, it desensitizes my carnal urge for blood. I’ve been stuck in this place for far too long and I need out, but I have to get this done and over with so I can have my girl.

Apparently it was necessary to strap me down to this chair for everyone’s protection until the drug is administered into my veins. My patience is wearing thin being like this. The rage slowly buildsas my blood boils every second that I’m confined like a wild animal.

“I still can’t believe you let him do this to you.”

“Always a disappointment, Little Boy Blue.”

“Let The Carver out to play and this will be over with quickly.”

The voices taunt me as I continue to wage a war in my mind for allowing this to happen. Jade is why I’m doing this. I need her. No one understands that, my father especially. But I’m beyond sick of being his puppet, I just want out. “Fuck!” I growl, pulling at the straps that hold me in place.

“Come on, let him free.”

“You know you want to.”

“Carver, Carver, Carver.”

I shake my head to rid the voices that are always running their mouths. “Would you three shut the fuck up?” I spit and three different sinister laughs greet my ears. I haven’t heard them in such a long time being that I let The Carver out more now than ever. They continue to chant The Carvers name and I squeeze my eyes shut and try to think about anything other than unleashing the beast. Even if I let him out, we are still stuck in these fucking straps, but I don’t need the monster ruining the plans just yet.

A door slides open and a team of people, along with my father, enter the room.

“Is this controlled enough for you?” he asks with a smirk, his condescending tone dripping from his lips.

“It will do, as long as I’m free from these confines.” I say, watching as the people dressed in all white get to work around me. A nurse approaches me with a syringe filled with teal liquid.

“Alright son, well, I’m glad the accommodations are to your liking. Athena is going to dispense the drug into your veins now and Micheal is going to unbuckle your straps. It will take about two minutes for the drug to take effect. We will leave the room and give you a moment to get your bearings. Then we will get started.” He informs with a nod.

“Fine, let's get this party started, shall we?” I smile, refusing to let him know I’m annoyed. The voices continue to chant inmy mind as Athena wraps my bicep tightly with a band, before rubbing a cold alcohol swab over the crease of my inner elbow and sliding the needle into my vein. A sudden rush of heat fills every inch of my body as the room spins and bright colors litter my vision in a hypnotizing circle that I cannot focus on. Everything is spinning.

Slumping back into the chair, I feel cold hands unbuckle the straps to my wrists, ankles and stomach. Yes, I’m free, but I’m frozen in the spot as everything goes white and my ears start to ring. I close my eyes tightly as my heart rate spikes, rapidly beating in my chest. Taking a few deep breaths, the smell of blood hits my nostrils and I growl, needing to feel it, taste it, bathe in it. The urge to find the source is overpowering.

I open my eyes and see a girl standing at the far side of the room wearing nothing but a hospital gown. Her long black hair is matted around her blood stained face. I force myself to get up out of the chair, needing to see her. Touch her. Stepping closer, my eyes focus and my heart skips a beat.

“Jade, is that you?” I say as my voice echoes the room. She puts her bloody hand out to reach for me and I step closer, cupping her face to look into her emerald green eyes.

“Baby, what’s wrong?” I ask, cautiously looking over her as tears stream down her face.

“I’m scared, Jamie. I’m so fucking scared.” She cries out, but her voice is different, it’s deeper, and her eyes; all I see is sadness, hurt and worry.

“Don’t be scared. I’m right here, Princess. No one will hurt you.” I assure her as I bring her lips to mine, but before I can feel them pressed against me, she pushes me away.

“I killed them, how can you want me when I killed them all?” She says, but I grab her, wrapping my hand around her throat.
