I squirmed, needing more.

“But you’re off a little.” I pressed his hand to my breast.

“How about this?” He pinched my nipple, pulling and rolling it between his fingers. “Does that feel better?”

“Ohhh…” Breath rushed out of me. Hot, thick desire spread through my body.

“And this,” he murmured, sliding his other hand between my legs.

“Is that spark…” I struggled for words as his fingers smoothly slipped in and out of me. “Is it telling you how much I want you right now?”

“Oh yes, it is.”

“How is it doing that?”

“By making me want you even more. Just like this.” He slid me backwards, closer to him, until my butt pressed against his hard, scorching hot length. “I feel what you feel, my spark.”

“It’s so hot,” I gasped, but made no move to shift away.

“It always is when you’re around. Do you want me to think of something cold and icy again to cool off?” I heard a smile in his voice.

“No. Don’t.”

I wished to take him just the way he was—hot, hard, and massive. I pressed myself to him, letting his heat seep through to me.

“It doesn’t hurt, Elex. It only turns me on more.”

He moved me to face him, then kissed me, lowering me onto the robe.

This time, there was no frantic desperation. He made love to me slowly, thoroughly, kissing every inch of my body. Until I, too, felt the fire course through my veins.

He made me come with his mouth and tongue first before thrusting his burning hot shaft inside me. By the time I came again and he pumped his release into me, the sun was already low over the horizon.

He rolled to his back, then pulled me on top of his chest.

“Try to get some rest, sweetheart.” He kissed my lips, wrapping his wings around me. “Tomorrow, we’ll figure out which way to fly.”

Tomorrowsounded just fine by me. Tonight, I was truly exhausted.

I yawned, curling against his chest. His body solidified under me, growing as hard as rock as the sun sat. His wings stiffened, forming a firm cocoon around us both.

“Good night, Elex,” I whispered with another yawn.

I placed my bent arm under my head since Elex was too hard to use him as a pillow. But he remained nice and warm, helping me fall asleep quickly.

The sound of footsteps woke me up.

Footsteps!

Alarm shot through me, jerking me fully awake.

It was dark in the cave. No sunlight filtered into our cocoon of Elex’s wings. He remained in his stone form. Hard and dark, as he should be. It was night. Yet someone was walking out there, through the passages beyond our cave.

Then, the light appeared. But it wasn’t from the sun. A pale, yellow spotlight moved along the surface of Elex’s wings that proved semi-transparent, even in their stone form.

“Another one,” a male voice stated.
