No, I wouldn’t kill Maggie.

I wouldn’t slaughter her the way I did every fucking man who worked for her. The ones who’d kidnapped my sweet Michaela. Who’d kept my wife a fucking prisoner and plotted to kill her.

Nope. I would not murder Maggie for the simple reason she was my sister.

But there were things worse than death.

And that was exactly what she deserved for touching my Sweetheart.

Chapter 39-Michaela

It was late when the sound of the door opening sliced through the quiet of the penthouse.

That soft creak was followed by the gentle click of the latch releasing.

Instantly, I was sitting up in bed, my heart racing, anticipation rushing through me like electricity.

It wasn’t that I was frightened. No, I was eager.

After everyone left, I’d showered and shaved, primped and pampered myself so I could show my husband exactly how I felt about him.

The air felt charged. Like it was humming with possibility.

A shiver ran down my spine, tension building. It was silent, expectant, and I cursed myself for leaving the ambient lights on.

They were dim, soft, but I was completely naked and feeling a little shy.

My breath caught as I waited, every muscle taut, every nerve on edge. Wetness flooded between my legs and held my breath, waiting for him to appear.

I was turned on just thinking about him.

The scent of him, so warm and familiar.

The taste of him, so spicy and hot.

The feel of him, so hard and heavy.

I’d never done anything like this. Never tried to vamp a man with my feminine wiles.

But Liam wasn’t just any man. Liam was mine.

I listened as he progressed through the hallway. The sounds of his footfalls were quiet, telling me he’d already removed his shoes.

“Fuck me,” Liam’s voice broke the silence as he stood in the doorway, one hand on his shirt collar.

“Hi,” I whispered shyly, licking my lip.

“What are you doing?” he murmured incoherently, groaning as his gaze raked over me like hot coals.

“I’ve been waiting for you, Husband. You see something you like?” I asked, grinning as he fumbled a step.

“Sweetheart, you look. You’re damn straight, I see something I like,” he growled, pulling off his jacket almost angrily as I started sliding my hands up and down my sides, over my breasts, down my soft belly.

“Fuck, Baby. Don’t start without me.”

“Hurry up, then,” I moaned, spreading my knees and gliding my fingers across my drenched lips.

Liam froze while I touched myself for him, spreading my lips, pushing one finger into my clenching sex.
