"Don't stop," I whispered.

I tightened my fingers around his hand. Draven shook his head, his gaze locking with mine, his eyes dark with emotion.

"There's no undoing this," he reminded me.

I reached up, cupping his cheek in my hand, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. My decision was made. Maybe it had been made the night I met him

"I know," I murmured. "And I want it. Want to be yours."

With those words hanging in the air between us, I offered my neck to him once more, a silent invitation.

And then, as Draven's fangs sank into my skin, a surge of warmth washed over me, spreading through every fiber of my being.

It was as if our souls had intertwined, wolf and dragon becoming one, bound together until death do us part.

In that moment, as the mate mark formed between us, I felt a sense of belonging, of completeness.

And as Draven pulled away, I knew without a doubt, that I had made the right decision.

I would uproot my entire life, relocate to a new town, and start afresh, all for the sake of my mate.

Heck, I would move mountains if it meant being with Draven. With him, I found a true home.

"Your turn," Draven said, and I realized we weren't finished yet.

I knew exactly where I wanted to place my mark.

I traced the outline of the old rune etched into Draven's chest.

It was an old relic of past pain and captivity and I wanted him to know that dark chapter was behind him.

Leaning in, I pressed my lips against the spot beside the rune. There, nestled within the curve of his chest, I left my mark.

It was a reminder that Draven was mine, just as I was his.

I pulled away and I met Draven's gaze, finding nothing but warmth and possession there.

Smiling, he reached out to me, pulling me close once more. I rested my head against his chest, loving the way our hearts beat in sync.

“I love you, Draven,” I murmured, my heart full.

“Love you too, Tobias,” Draven answered. “Forever.”

“Forever,” I agreed.

I woke up to the soft morning light filtering through the curtains. After rubbing my eyes, I found myself captivated by the sight of Draven sleeping peacefully beside me.

His rhythmic snores filled the room, a welcomed sight. It was a stark contrast to the restless nights he often had, even when we wrestled together.

Seeing him so serene was a rare treat, and I couldn't resist the urge to watch him for a moment longer.

A fond smile tugged at my lips and I found myself touching his mate mark on my neck.

Part of me still couldn’t believe last night happened. That we were finally officially mates.

Careful not to disturb him, I eased myself out of bed and slipped into a nearby shirt and boxers.

Since I didn’t need to come in for work today, I decided to surprise Draven and Doyle with breakfast.
