Letting out a sigh, I give him my attention. The way his shoulders are tensed, I sense this is a serious topic for him. Though, I don’t know how I feel about having rules set for me. I don’t think I had any when I was a kid. Then again, I wasn’t able to do much kid stuff anyway.
“When it comes to your safety, I don’t take it lightly. I’ll need to know where you are at all times. You will not go to any bars, clubs, wineries, or anywhere that serves alcohol without me or a bodyguard.”
My mouth falls open, and I scrunch my face. “A bodyguard? Why would I need one of those?”
His expression is so serious that it’s almost scary. He’s not joking. But I don’t understand why I would need a bodyguard. I’m just me.
“Baby, my life is dangerous. There are always risks involved with dating a man in the mafia. We have many enemies, and sometimes things happen. Our first priority is always to protect you girls.”
Holy crap. “That’s why that guy came into the coffee shop with Chloe when she was alone.”
“Yes. The girls have round-the-clock protection details. Like I said, our girls—and that includes you now—are our top priority.”
“Yeah, but they’re all married to their guys and living there. You’re just dating me.”
His face drops into a scowl, and he shifts me roughly so I’m straddling him. He keeps his gaze on mine but moves his hands to my hips, gripping me tightly. “Baby, I’m not dating you.”
Wow. Okay. Why does that feel like a total stab to my heart?
“Dating is for people who don’t have a plan. Dating is for jerks who aren’t man enough to make a commitment. We’renot fucking dating, princess. You’re mine. Your body, soul, and heart. They’re all mine, and I’m all yours. I’m going to marry you one day. Which means you’re part of my family, and it’s my responsibility and pleasure to protect you. I can’t be with you all the time, so when I can’t, you will have a bodyguard with you.”
I blink slowly, trying to process all that. Marry? He wants to marry me? We’ve known each other for a week. I was worried it was too soon for sex, but he’s already talking about marriage.
“Baby,” he murmurs, and I let my eyes focus on him. “I’m a possessive man, and I’m over the top. I’m going to drive you up the wall, and you’re probably going to want to shoot me with my own gun some days, but I will give you the best life. We’re not getting married tomorrow, so let’s not focus on that right now. I want you to know my intentions, though. Understand?”
“Yes.”
He beams and nods. “My good girl. Next rule.”
All my tension drains away, and I let out a small giggle. Always focused on the rules.
“What happens if I break one?”
His fingers move gently up and down my thighs as he stares at me. “If you break a rule, you will be disciplined. Usually spanked by my hand, belt, or a paddle. Depending on my mood, I might decide to put a plug in your bottom and make you keep it in for a few hours.”
My eyes bulge as wetness gathers between my legs. I try to squeeze my thighs together, but his bulk is in the way. As if he knows, a satisfied smile spreads over his lips.
“Like that idea, lass? Of Daddy lubing up your naughty bottom hole and pushing a thick plug inside?”
My entire body heats. My nipples could cut glass from how hard they are. He notices them and strokes a hand over one of the sensitive buds.
“Has anyone ever touched you back there, Katie-baby?” His voice is practically a purr.
“No,” I pant.
“Good. That pleases me. I’ll be the first and last man to take your asshole. Mm, fuck.” The purr becomes a growl.
I shudder at the thought of his long, thick cock inside my ass.
“You like that,” he says.
“I…I, um, I’m not sure. I’ve read books about it, and I like reading them, but I’m scared it will hurt.”
His entire expression gentles, and he cups my face between his hands. “I would never do anything to intentionally harm you. When we get to that point together, Daddy will make sure you’re ready so it doesn’t hurt. Okay?”
“Okay. Thank you.”
“When I discipline you, it will never be to harm you either. Sometimes, it will hurt, and you’ll cry, but it will be temporary, and you’ll have a safeword.”
