“Yes, sir,” I muttered, and he let my hair go. I pressed my hand against my mouth again and clenched around him, and as I did I felt my orgasm creep in on me. “Now…” I whispered. “Now… please…”

He thrust faster, and it was enough. My body convulsed, and I could do nothing about it but make sure my mouth was covered. The whimpers and bleats of enjoyment were mostly muffled by the handkerchief, and I was glad he’d given it to me. He made me feel incredible again, and if he wanted to keep going, I’d have three or four more orgasms.

But I felt him explode inside me, then his cum running down my leg. His body was made for mine—the way he brought me to climax so quickly and made sure I was pleased before he let himself enjoy it. He slid out of me, and more cum dribbled from me. I was legless, draped over the desk, unable to move for a moment. I heard his belt jingle, then I felt his hands on my thighs, drying his mess off me.

I pushed myself off the desk and turned to face him. He tossed the tissues and handed me my clothes, which I took from him with a hazy half-grin. “Does that mean we’re an item now, then?”

“I’m not going to deny the opportunity exists.” I liked how his eyes drank me in even after his lust was sated and he had no reason to look at me like a hungry animal. “But I do have something for you.”

He walked around his desk and opened a drawer as I dressed quickly. I half expected it to be my bra which I lost last time, and I made sure to put every item of clothing I’d worn in back on this time. When he handed me a business card, I was confused.

“I know where you work.” I snickered and took the card.

“Turn it over,” he said, pointing, so I did.

I read the hand-scrawled number on the back of the card. It was very familiar to me, but I couldn’t place it immediately. I assumed it was his cell number, and it made me happy to know he was serious about having a real relationship, not just sex at work.

“If you have a boyfriend, you need to break up with him. You’re mine now.”

The way he said that so possessively supercharged my body. I got a rush out of his claiming me. “Uh, I’m not seeing anyone at all. Why would you think that?”

“Well, I texted you the other day. Got your number from our personnel files, and you told me that you were taken.” He leaned against the edge of his desk, where I had just been bent across it. “So, if you’re taken, get rid of him.”

I chuckled and shook my head. “I didn’t know it was you. I thought my sister gave my number to a creepy guy or something. I was talking about you.”

Daniel’s eyebrows rose in surprise. “You were?”

“Yeah… I can’t seem to think about anyone but you lately. It even distracts me from work at times. I told you that.” I slid the card into my bra and straightened my top before tossing my hair to make sure it looked unfussed.

“I’m flattered.” He reached out and took my hand. “You really want to give this a go?”

“Yes, Dan. I really do.”

“I’m way older than you.”

“I don’t care.” I took a step toward him. “Age is just a number.”

“And I’m your boss.”

“And I’m falling in love with you. What does that matter? When lightning strikes, you absorb it and let it charge the atmosphere. You don’t run from it.”

He leaned forward and kissed me gently, lingering for a moment. “Okay, then. I guess any woman who turns other men away because she wants me even before she knows how I feel is a woman I want to get to know more.” His lips brushed mine again. “Because I may just be falling for her too.”

My heart soared. He had no idea what that confession did to me. I wanted to stay there and talk, but I knew work was calling.

“We should…” I pointed my thumb over my shoulder.

“We should,” he said resolutely. “But your lunches are mine now. And when I message you, don’t tell me to buzz off again.” He winked at me, and I chuckled, leaving him there at his desk.

Things just got a whole lot more interesting, and I was walking on air. I’d tell Charlotte everything, but Evelyn would just have to hear it through the grapevine. I was falling in love.

Iwatched Emily saunter out of my office tugging at the hem of her skirt. She fluffed her hair and stepped into the hallway and I relaxed behind my desk. The storm that walked into my office, however, was one I wasn’t expecting.

My mother’s head jerked back and forth worse than a bobble head on the dashboard of a 1970s Volkswagen van. She scoffed and huffed, pointing in the direction Emily was moving. “You have got to be kidding me.” Mom stood there staring down the hall, and I had to restrain myself from rolling my eyes at her ridiculous dramatic response.
