“You sure he is coming? How long do I have to wait?” he asked about five minutes later.
“He will,” I muttered.
Just then, I heard loud footsteps storming the hall outside.
My eyes widened, and my heart pounded so hard. Oh, God, he was here.
And I was terrified.
“You ready?” Will mumbled before he buried his face in my neck.
My fingers shook as I gripped his hair.
The door burst open so loudly that it shook the walls beside it.
I was startled as I got up, and Will fell on his ass.
The sight in front of me was one I didn’t want to see in a million years. Jay looked enraged. His eyes burned with fury. His jaw tickled with tension, and he was shaking with anger.
“I thought you had a headache, sweetheart.” His voice sent shivers down my spine. I didn’t like the way he said sweetheart. It sounded so cold, so dead.
“Jay—” I started, but he was on Will the next second.
Jay punched him so hard in the face that I heard a sound pop off. My eyes widened as they fumbled to the floor. Jay was beating the crap out of Will while the latter tried to push him off.
“You motherfucker, that’s my fucking girl. You’re fucking my girl in my own fucking bed,” Jay screamed at Will’s face.
I shook out of my daze and scrambled to his side. I pulled at Jay’s shoulder and said, “Jay, let him go. You are going to kill him.”
But he wouldn’t let go. He just kept beating the shit out of Will.
I pulled so hard that Jay’s elbows met my ribs, knocking the wind out of me.
“Ah!” I screamed as I fell onto my ass.
Jay finally let go of Will, whose face was already swollen and bleeding.
“Leave before I kill you,” Jay said in a lethal voice.
Will got up to his feet and winked at me before he walked out the door, slamming it behind him. I couldn’t believe that guy. I felt so guilty right now. He didn’t deserve this. Jay didn’t deserve this. And I didn’t deserve this too.
“How long?” Jay asked in a flat cold voice that made it hard to breathe.
“Jay.”
“How long, Evelyn?” He glared at me with so much pain and hatred that it almost made me confess the truth.
“For a while,” I said, my voice barely a whisper. My vision blurred as tears started streaming down my face.
“Why?”
I stammered, my brain fighting to form words. The look on his face was killing me. But I had to do this for him. I took a deep breath and lied, “Because you were never here. And I got bored waiting for you. And Will…” I swallowed the lump down my throat that seemed to be getting bigger and bigger. “He was funny and nice. We only started talking at first. But then one thing led to another, and it just happened.”
“Did you like it?” Jay took my chin between his fingers and drilled holes into my eyes.
“Uh.” My eyes almost bugged out of my head at his question.
Jay tilted my head as he bore his angry eyes into mine. “Did you like it? Did you like it when he fucked you? Did he fuck you like I did?”
