Jay was lying on the side with his head propped on his fist, watching me.

“Good morning,” I whispered, feeling shy as I thought about what we did last night.

His other hand pulled me closer. “Good morning, sweetheart. Good sleep?” he asked.

“Yes, the best.” A wide grin overtook my face.

He matched mine, and his sparkled with mirth. “I bet. I wonder if I was responsible for that.”

I flushed red. “Maybe,” I mumbled.

“How sore are you?” he asked.

“I don’t know.” I just woke up, so I didn’t feel anything for now, but that might be a different matter as soon as I got up to walk. “I wouldn’t know until I move about.”

“How about a bath?” He ran a curved finger along my ribs.

“Hmm, that would be amazing.” I smiled.

He kissed me on the cheek and went into the bathroom to draw a bath.

I turned to my side to admire the view. He was always delectable to look at in the morning, with his soft, tousled hair, the light flush on his skin, and the sleepy look on his face, he was adorable. The muscles in his body flexed as he moved about.

Jay suddenly peered around his shoulder, like he knew I had an eye on him.

He smirked. “Enjoying the view?”

“Very,” I muttered, caught in the act.

I plopped back into the bed and stared at the wooden paneled ceiling. I sighed—last night was incredible. I felt closer to Jay than ever. The past year went by in haste. I spent all the time I had with Jay. We linked our lives in such a way that we both needed each other. All the time.

Everything I did, I wanted him there.

And everything he did, he wanted me there.

I had been barely getting by in school. I just about managed to keep up my GPA. Because this one person was living rent-free in my mind. With senior year starting soon, I had to get serious if I ever wanted to make it to Yale.

“I will go get coffee.” Jay kissed my nose.

“Hmm.”

That boy knew exactly what I wanted every morning. Him and coffee.

Soon we soaked ourselves in the most glorious bath that smelled like eucalyptus and lavender, which did wonders for my sore muscles. And yes, I was sore. I grimaced as I thought about the tenderness between my legs when I got off the bed. Jay noticed immediately and started to fuss over me. It was so cute.

“Are you sure you are okay now?” He asked, drawing me into his body. He had a slight frown on his face.

“Hmm, much,” I sighed as I leaned into his chest, savoring all the delicious warmth.

“Your coffee, sweetheart,” he said, handing me a steaming cup of pure vanilla black coffee in a pink mug with a bunch of little hearts. Bath. Coffee and Him. Heaven.

“You are so perfect.” I took the mug from him and sipped in some of the caffeine goodness.

He laughed. “If you think so, I try to be.”

“Well, you are! Did you just get this mug for me? It’s so cute!”

“Yeah,” he mumbled. “I wanted you to have your own mug at the cabin.”
