I moaned as he took me in his favorite way, peering his blues into the depths of my soul while he moved inside of me.

I loved it.

We shattered together as we came apart, screaming our names.

“I love you,” I said, looking into his eyes.

“I love you more.” He smiled as he tucked a loose strand behind my ear.

We were naked, lying face to face, his hands running smooth circles over my hips while I tried not to let my mind run a million miles.

“Hold me tighter,” I whispered, my voice too low.

Jay pulled me so close to him that our breaths were barely a whisper away. I tried to soak in all his delicious warmth, touching almost every inch of my bare skin as I tried to halt my thoughts.

“What’s wrong?” he asked with a concerned look on his face while tracing a finger through the frown that formed between my brows.

God, this man could read my emotions like an open book.

“Nothing, just feeling a bit weird,” I told him softly.

He caressed my cheek and kissed my nose. “Everything will be all right, sweetheart. Are you missing home?”

Home, I wondered, what was home? It was subjective these days—somehow, wherever he was, it felt like I was home already. So no, I did not miss home, because I was already home.

I shrugged, not knowing what to say.

“Do you miss Marie? You know we can go visit her anytime, right?”

I nodded. I did miss Aunty M. She would know exactly what to do. She would have known exactly how to deal with a person like White.

Because my mind still kept going back to our little talk, I would be foolish not to admit that it did scare me.

Jay sighed beside me, running his fingers through my hair. “I love you,” he said.

“Do you know that White has a crush on you?” I blurted.

A frown overtook his face. “White? You mean Cece?” He laughed. “Is that what is bothering you?”

“Not really,” I mumbled.

Jay shrugged. “I have noticed her looking at me sometimes. But she has never made it obvious or made her move. Also, she has been really professional and kept her distance. Plus, she knows I am with you. So, it really doesn’t bother me. Hey, people look at me all the time because I am a rock god.” A sly grin danced on his face.

I swapped his shoulder. “You sound like Mikey. Who seems to hate her, by the way? Do you know why?” I was genuinely curious.

“I don’t know, actually. He seemed fine with her for the first few days and even flirted with her. But suddenly he stopped. Then he hardly spoke to her. When I asked him what was wrong, he said that he just didn’t like her.”

“Hmm, maybe she refused to sleep with him.”

“Maybe, who knows what goes on in Mikey’s head? By the way, is that why you are weird? I know you met with the girls for coffee. Did she say something to you?” He frowned

My heart thudded in my chest. Oh, God, Jay can never find out what she told me. If he knew, we would be on the next flight to Bellevue, and I cannot let him jeopardize his career like that.

“No, I just noticed her looking at you, so I asked.” I lied. Well, it wasn’t a complete lie. It was more like a half-truth. Still, I hated hiding this from him.

He kissed my forehead, and his lips lingered there for a few seconds. “None of it matters, because I only have eyes for one girl and will always have eyes only for one girl.”

“Who is your favorite person in the whole wide world, Jay?” I asked softly.
