“What do I tell Melissa if she calls?”

The Main Master got quiet, and his attention came to me. An anger pushed into his features as he looked down.

“Don’t answer it. I’ll take care of it.”

“You don’t like her.” Braddock put down his empty plate on the coffee table. “What happened after I left, Elec? Why did you look so sick when you came to help me?”

Again, the Main Master’s stare shot to me.

“Stay away from her. Just…if Melissa comes to your door, don’t open it. If she calls and you accidently answer, tell her you’re busy and you’ll call her back when you can. Most importantly,do notlook into her eyes. If you do that, she has you. Do you understand?”

The top half of my body leaned forward, and there was no hesitation in my question. “Did she have you when I walked in?”

The Main Master’s face dropped a shade of color, but his sudden rage was unmistakable.

“You saw nothing, slave.Nothing.”

“You’re overly quiet tonight.”

I glanced up from my seat on the sofa, meeting my Master’s inquisitive stare. We were sitting close. So close, our sides were touching, and he had his arm around me. Some random Mistress and Master dating show was playing on the television, but I couldn’t erase what my Main Master wanted me to forget. I couldn’t stop thinking about it.Seeing it.

“I apologize. Would you like me to speak with you?”

“I’m not sure what about. I’ve already had you go over everything that happened in the appointment. There’s nothing new that’s come out of that.” He got quiet, shifting next to me. “You saw something with the Main Master. It upset him. It wasn’t long afterward that he stormed out. What did you see?”

My loyalty had me returning my stare to the television.

“I don’t know. I see nothing when I try to recall the memory.”

“Hmm.” My Master got quiet. “I heard Elec has the power to make people forget things. Or believe. He and Melissa both. Do you think that’s what’s happening, slave? Do you think she messed with my mind? She had to have, right? That’s why Elec doesn’t want me seeing her anymore?”

“I got the impression.”

He nodded. “Me too.”

Weight shifted on the sofa and Braddock reached over, grabbing my hips to lift me so that I straddled him.

“It’s been a long day. Make me forget everything. I don’t want to remember. I don’t want to figure anything out. Kiss it away.”

“Just a kiss?”

I didn’t allow him to answer as my lips connected with his. The hunger that followed his order came flooding back, causing me to moan. Even as I went through the motions, sliding my tongue into his mouth, I could see Elec doing the same. Kissing. Holding Melissa in his arms as the passion between them had been unmistakable. But then…something. The Main Master jerked back at my interruption and Melissa was…worried? Angry?

More than that. There was confusion as the two looked at each other. So much confusion. Betrayal? Sickness?

Murder.

Rocking forward, my fingers pushed through his short hair, holding as I continued to move against him. I swallowed down Braddock’s moan, feeling his fingers dig into my lower back.

“I like having you here. I think I likeyou.”

Hunger met my mouth again cutting off any reply. His grip was getting firmer, muddling my mind the smallest amount at what I could even say as a response. Need twisted in my stomach while I moved more heatedly against him.

“Would you like to go to the bed, Master? I could have better access to you that way.”

“Better access than this?”

His arms lifted, wrapping around me, pinning my own arms to my sides. He went to smile, pausing as a blankness stole the emotion away. Rapidly, he blinked, his brow creasing as he seemed to be seeing something other than me.
