“Are we sure they didn’t elope?” Ashton asked.

It would be great if that was the case, but Mason didn’t think so. Parker would’ve given him a heads-up even if they didn’t tell anyone else.

“Not sure, but I don’t think so. Angelo called from Miami,” Mason said as he stood at the head of the table, leaning on the back of a chair. “According to Rock’s tech guy, Logic, some of the Kingz are in town. Elder has been here for a few days, and a couple of hours ago, Logic was alerted that Wolf had chartered a plane. If he’s not in Atlanta yet, he’ll be here soon.”

Mason told them he had Kenton and Laz doing an initial search for Parker and Chelsey. He explained that he was assuming they were somewhere together, but they didn’t know for sure.

He had sent Laz to Parker’s house since he was the only person, outside of Mason, who had a key and the security code. He also sent Kenton to Chelsey’s place.

While driving to Supreme, Mason had heard from both of them, letting him know they hadn’t found either. Kenton did, however, find Chelsey’s cell phone at the house which was why she hadn’t been answering.

“Are we assuming that Wolf and Elder might have them?” Ashton asked.

“And how did Logic find out the Kingz were in town?” Hamilton asked.

“I don’t want to assume anything, but it’s too much of a coincidence that we find out the leaders of the Kingz are here and no one knows where Parker is.

“As for how Logic found out, a couple of days ago, he began monitoring the men’s whereabouts. This was started after Elder was already in town, but since then, he knows the guy rented a car at Atlanta’s Hartsfield airport a few days ago. As well as a house near Midtown. He had Angelo to call us, to give a heads-up, when he received an alert a couple hours ago about Wolf chartering a plane.”

“Do we know where the Kingz are?” Myles asked.

Before he could answer, Kenton and Laz walked into the room.

“Anything?” Mason asked as the two men sat in a couple of empty chairs at the end of the table.

“I called India to see if she’d heard from her or seen Chelsey,” Kenton said. “She said Chelsey and Parker were meeting for dinner around eight. Over five hours ago.”

“They weren’t at Parker’s place,” Laz said. “And after Kenton told me which restaurant they were planning to go for dinner, I went there, but they were closed. I was hoping to see if I could look at their security footage. Maybe I’d see Parker arrive or leave, or something.

“I do know he was there, because his truck is in their parking lot. But there were no signs of either of them.”

“Egypt called Wiz to see if there’s a way he can tap into security feeds from city street cameras or neighboring businesses near the restaurant,” Kenton said. “He’s working on that.”

Mason nodded. “That’s a good plan.”

“How does Wolf being here affect the raids that are taking place in a couple of days?” Ashton asked. “Will the FBI be able to regroup and take them down here in town?”

The former police detective still had connections with Atlanta PD. Mason just hoped they didn’t have to get them involved.

“Good question. Rock and Angelo are flying in. They should be here soon, and maybe they’ll have more information on that front. I do know Rock’s assistant, Kamora, has put the agencies involved on notice. Letting them know Wolf and Elder’s whereabouts and that there might be a problem. This whole set up is a little dicey because they don’t know about Parker’s past.”

“How’s that possible? I thought that’s why they were working with him, because of what happen when he was a kid,” Ashton said.

Mason shook his head. “Nope. He and Kamora, as far as I know, haven’t shared information about the gang war from years ago, or anything real personal. The Feds know Wolf is Parker’s biological father and the two don’t have a relationship, but that’s all they know.

“They’re under the impression that Parker is helping them get inside the Kingz organization. Angelo and Kamora are the ones who sounded the alarm bells with information that convinced the DEA and others to set up a sting operation. They want Wolf and the Kingz off the streets, and they jumped at the opportunity to be involved in a takedown.

“I guess Kamora used to be an FBI informant or something. She has a contact in the agency.”

“Question is, do they realize that these weeks of them planning a takedown might’ve been a waste of time?” Kenton asked.

“They are aware of a possible problem and are standing by until they hear from Angelo or Kamora.”

“In the meantime, any other ideas on how to find Parker and Chelsey? We also need to figure out where Wolf and Elder are. Any confidential informants that might know something?”

He posed that last question to Laz. The former police detective still had his ears to the ground and kept in touch with his old CIs.

“I’ll make some calls.” He stood with his phone in his hands and headed for the door. “Maybe the Kingz have some other business here.”
