Wes’s stone expression doesn’t change. "I’ll stay with Logan. From the information you have given, it sounds like you and Noah could handle the takedown. Gray could help if necessary but if not, he could get to the kid. I will stay with Logan until Gray gives me the signal to have Logan go help. I won’t leave her side the entire time.” Turning to look at me, he adds, "You have my word.”

The room is so silent you can hear the sound of light rain hitting the roof as we all stare at Wes.

Noah sits up fully. "I’m with Wes. I can handle the takedown. I think it’s a good idea to have Lolo come with us.”

Landon nods. "Yeah, I’m good with that. Gray?”

This plan could work if Wes stays and protects Logan. I think he’s the best person to stay with her, other than myself. They haven’t spent much time around each other except the few times we have gotten together. But after the day at my parents, I have found them talking here and there. Wes has his emergency medical technician license. He doesn’t use it, but he had to have it to become a pilot for the hospital. That job is stressful as fuck so if anyone could help her if she has a panic attack, it would be him.

"Fine.” I sigh. "But if she doesn’t feel comfortable doing this, don’t push her,” I say, mainly to Landon.

He claps his hands together. "Cool. All the supplies are in the back of Noah’s Jeep. Go wake up Logan and we will get on the road.”

Standing up, I make my way up the stairs. I still feel uneasy about this but, ultimately, it’s her decision if she wants to come.

I open the door to my room and find my sweet girl in the same place I left her. Sitting down on the edge of the bed, I brush her hair out of her eyes. They flutter open, and she smiles.

"Back already?” she asks, sounding sleepy and fucking adorable.

"Not quite. I need to ask you something?”

Logan sits up and grabs her glasses off the nightstand, gently pulling the sheet over her lap so she doesn’t wake Oliver. "What’s wrong?”

Reaching out, I rest my hand on her knee. "So, this mission is far away, and Landon believes the little boy involved will need medical attention immediately. He wants you to go with us.”

Her face pales and she glances down at her hands in her lap.

I tilt her head back up so our eyes meet. "Hey, you can say no. I said no at first, too, but Wes said he would stay with you the entire time. You have to know I wouldn’t even consider this if I didn’t believe you would be safe.”

Logan hesitates for a second but then nods. "Umm, okay. I think so. If Wes is with me the entire time, I think I will be okay. I want to help the little boy.”

Pulling her into my arms, I reassure her, "Nothing is going to happen to you.”

She nods against my chest. "I know, Bear.”

"Okay, get dressed and come downstairs. Landon will want to fill you in before we go.”

Logan rises from the bed and my eyes go straight to her legs. I forgot she was only wearing my t-shirt. The memories of earlier tonight flash through my mind. She was still wet from the shower, body under me as I rammed my...

Logan snaps her fingers in my face. "Go. Now. I can’t resist you when you have sex eyes.”

I tilt my head back and laugh. "Sex eyes? That’s a new one.” I rise and grab her waist, pulling her against me.

"Yes, sex eyes.” Pushing against my chest she steps out of my hold. "Go please.”

Smacking her ass, I let her win this one and go back downstairs.

My brothers’ heads turn to look back at me when I walk into the kitchen. "She agreed. She’ll be down in a minute.”

I sit back down on the couch, and everyone is silent as we wait for my girl.

Logan comes down looking just as edible as she did upstairs. Her hair is pulled into a messy knot, and she opted to keep her glasses on. I don’t mind because I love it when she wears them. She is wearing a pair of black leggings and one of my sweatshirts. Logan goes to sit next to me, but I pull her onto my lap, wrapping my arms around her waist.

I rest my head on her shoulder. "Love the outfit, Angel,” I whisper in her ear.

"Keep it in your pants. I’m only wearing this because I didn’t have the energy to search for my clothes.”

"Good, I like you in my clothes.”
