Tears stream down Logan’s face and she waves me forward. I go to her, and she kisses me.

When we break apart, Logan looks down at the sleeping puppy in her lap and then out at the forest surrounding us.

We all sit in silence while Logan thinks of a name.

Her eyes lock with mine and I’m almost afraid of what’s about to come out of her mouth.

"Willow.”

Mom gasps and I have no idea what to fucking say.

"Willow will help me get through this and I know she would have helped Eliza. It’s time to take power back from the assholes. Eliza isn’t here to fight the never-ending battle against the people who prey on the innocent, so I will fight for both of us, with the help of Willow.”

Mom is sobbing and Dad stands behind her with his hand on her shoulders. Subtly, he touches his wedding band and nods toward Logan.

Noah walks off and I know how he feels. I’m fighting the urge not to cry like I’m sure he is.

I take a second to look up at the clear sky to collect myself. When I look back to Logan, she is staring at me with a smile on her face.

"What’s that look for?” she asks, pretending she didn’t just say the most meaningful thing anyone has ever said to me.

If I had the ring with me right now, I would drop down on one knee. Logan would love it because she loves my parent's place but there’s a place she loves more.

Logan Blake Sawyer will be mine forever and we are going to start with our home.

"Call Mrs. Wanda,” I command.

"Huh?” Logan asks, confused by the sudden change in topic.

"Call Mrs. Wanda. You live with me now, officially. I’ll go over and grab the rest of your stuff tomorrow.”

"Bear…” She doesn’t sound upset. I know she said she needed to keep her place for peace of mind, but she has referred to my home as our place multiple times since. She knows it and so do I.

"Try and argue with me, pretty girl. You know I always get what I want.”

Rolling her eyes and trying to fight her smile, she grumbles. "Ugh. I hate it when you go all caveman. Hand me my phone.”

"Whatever you say, Angel,"I mutter under my breath as I grab her phone from the truck.

She sticks her tongue out at me and calls Mrs. Wanda.

Just wait, Angel. The minute you can walk up to our spot, I’m taking you there and making you mine forever.

Chapter Thirty-Eight

Logan

"Areyousure?”

Grayson has asked me this same question about fifty times on our short drive from the house to The Hideout.

"Yes, Bear. It’s time.”

It’s been a week since the attack, and I have been avoiding going to talk to Mike and instead, lying in bed and trying to focus on everything else happening around me.

My heart broke a little when I gave my keys to Mrs. Wanda. I think she knew it was coming. She had stopped by one day to drop off an air filter and Grayson was mowing the grass. After catching up for a minute, he informed her that he was my boyfriend so when I called her, she didn’t seem surprised.

The man wasn’t kidding. After we got home from his parents with Willow and introduced her to Oliver, he was calling in a favor to help move me out. I didn’t have a lot, so it only took one of the guys from The Handle and Travis one trip. Gray could have done it, but he didn’t want to leave me. Not that he could anyway. For the first few days, I could barely get up without help.
