Chapter One

Grayson

“LoganBlakeHayes, getyour sexy ass down here now!” I yell from the bottom of the staircase.

I stand quietly and listen for movement. At first, I don’t hear anything, but then I hear paws scurrying across the wood floor. I know exactly what is about to happen. I step out of the way just in time for Willow to come flying down the stairs with Oliver hot on her tail. She skids to a stop after crashing into the suitcase I have sitting by the door and flashes me her irresistible puppy eyes. Behind her Oliver stalks off to his spot on the back of the couch, not even giving me the time of day.

I shake my head and motion for Willow to come to me. She doesn’t hesitate, runs to me, and sits down, acting like nothing happened.

“You’re lucky you’re cute,” I say as I bend down and scratch behind her floppy ears.

I’m about to turn around and call for my girl again when I feel arms wrap around my waist. Logan’s head rests against my back and I fold my arms on top of hers, my hand immediately going to her engagement ring. She never takes it off and I never get tired of seeing her wear it.

“Hello, Mrs. Hayes.”

Logan chuckles and I spin around in her arms. Her piercing green eyes stare up at me and I know exactly what she is about to say.

“That’s not my name, Bear.”

Groaning, I roll my eyes, hug her to my chest, and rest my chin on top of her head.

“I know, but you’re mine even if we don’t share the same last name yet.”

Logan shakes her head and leans back to rest her chin on my chest, looking up at me.

“Oh, there you go being a caveman again. What am I going to do with you?” She says as a smile spreads across her beautiful face.

Holding her, I rock us side to side and say, “Nothing you can do Angel, you’re mine and I’m not going anywhere. Neither are you.”

Logan rolls her eyes and shoves me away, playfully. I try to pull her back into my arms, but Willow beats me to it and rests her body against Logan’s legs.

My girl folds like a house of cards and gives her full attention to the dog that I believe saved her.

So much has changed in the past few months. Even though Allie was found, things have been tense around here lately. Logan feels responsible for Allie, and I know the guilt she is feeling eats her alive every day. Which is the main reason why we haven’t gotten married yet. My girl being the selfless person she is, wants to make sure others are happy and strong before we have a wedding.

I understand and I will never push her. Especially now that Logan has become more comfortable expressing her emotions in the past few months. Even on the nights she is crying from the guilt and pain she feels for her best friend, she always tells me how much she loves me and that she cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together.

Logan stands and her eyes glance back and forth between me and the suitcase.

“Going somewhere?” Logan asks.

I nod. “Yup. And so are you.”

Logan stares at me with confusion written all over her face.

Eliminating the distance between us, I pick her up, her legs automatically wrapping around my waist. I walk us backwards until Logan’s ass hits the counter. I set her down and try to take a step back, but her legs tighten around me.

Logan flashes me a sexy grin.

Fuck me.

Suddenly everything I was about to tell her is gone and now all I can think about is slipping my hardening cock into her sweet pussy.

Logan knows exactly what I’m thinking and pulls me to her, kissing up my neck to my ear, then biting it.

My shirt is off and across the room before I even realize I’m doing it. When I meet Logan’s gaze she is laughing.

My hands go to the bottom of her shirt, and she places a hand on my chest. A growl escapes my lips.
