Not that Gray would ever make me feel that way, but I know I would have felt like I did.

Pushing that thought out of my head, I guide him upstairs to the covered balcony and quietly open the doors.

Slowly I walk us to the railing and point to the lake illuminated by the moonlight.

Grayson wraps his arms around my middle as we watch a group of deer walk on the frozen lake.

I take a deep breath and inhale the crisp winter air. This place is stunning, and this view alone makes it even better.

We stand there watching the deer, unbothered and unaware that they have an audience until a frigid breeze hits us.

Grayson breaks the silence and whispers, “I love you, Angel. And I know you would stay out here for hours, but you are freezing.”

Nodding, “Thank you again for convincing me to come. I am so happy right now and I know it’s only going to get better. I love you so much, Bear.”

Grayson spins me around and lifts me into his arms. He carries me downstairs and before setting me back down he plants a kiss on my forehead and says, “You know I would do anything to make you happy.”

Chapter Seven

Grayson

“ComeonBear, pleasetell me,” Logan begs as I tug a hat down on her head.

“But what fun is that?” I just laugh and guide her towards the truck and open the door for her to climb in.

Logan tries to look angry, I can tell she is loving this. Willow Lake has been exactly what we needed. We have been here a few days and I already see a difference in my girl.

This surprise was supposed to be for the day after we got here, but I decided to wait. She looked so fucking adorable in those damn otter pjs. Plus,I haven’t been able to keep my hands off her. It’s like my girl is releasing everything she has been holding in for years and she is using my body to do it.

Not that I fucking care. I love seeing the hunger in her eyes and the feel of her—

“Bear! Stop! You said we had to leave the house today. You know I can’t resist you when you make that face!”

I turn to her and flash her a knowing grin. “What face Angel?”

Logan gently smacks my arms. “You know exactly what I’m talking about. That’s your ‘I’m thinking about sex face’. Now stop.”

I try and pull her face to mine but she leans away from me. “You know you love it, Angel. And you know I love—“

Logan covers my mouth with her hand. I stick my tongue out and she pulls back. “Nope. Not this time, caveman.”

I laugh and remember the time of her meeting my parents for the first time and trying to calm her down. That feels like forever ago but it’s only been a few months.

Giving up on teasing her, I give her a quick kiss and head towards our destination.

It’s a short drive and the entire time, Logan’s eyes are glued to the window taking in the town.

We pull into a parking lot and I watch as Logan sees what’s in front of us. Her face lights up and a smile spreads across her face.

I squeeze her knee to get her attention. “You ready, pretty girl, or do you want to stay in the truck the entire time?”

Before I can even finish the sentence, she is grabbing the door handle. I quickly get out and meet her before she can jump down.

Her migraines and dizzy spells haven’t completely gone away since fuckhead attacked her. She gets pissed sometimes that I’m overcautious with her, but I promised I would never let anything ever happen to her. And that the next time she was in the hospital for anything other than work, was when she is having our babies. I’d rather her be pissed off for two minutes than spend another day in a hospital bed.

Logan jumps into my arms as soon as I open the door and smashes her lips to mine. I wrap my arms around her and her legs wind around my waist.

She leans back and I can see the happiness shining in her piercing green eyes.
