Once we’ve all had a sort of brunch, all of us guys gather up some snacks and drinks, while Cozy runs upstairs to change into her ‘movie binge’ pajamas, as she called them. When she comes back down, we all stop what we’re doing and stare at her.
I can’t speak for the others, but when I see her in the cutest pink Stitch onesie I’ve probably ever seen, with a hood that has giant pink eyes and fluffy pink ears that flop over, all I can think about is wrapping her in my arms and kissing her because she’s so fucking adorable that it makes my heart wanna burst with the feelings she brings out in me.
She stops in her tracks, tilting her head slightly as she looks at us all with a confused smile.
“What?” she asks, squeezing the teal bat plush that’s obviously her favorite tight to her chest.
Everyone clears their throats before jumping back into action and Micah laughs, walking over to her.
“Got everything?” he asks her, and she smiles up at him, nodding.
We all file out of the house, each of us with arms full of snacks and extra blankets from around the house, just in case she wants them. Once inside the nest, Ridge gets the projector set up on the wall, pulling the screen down, while we all find our spots inside of her little fort and get comfortable. Jeremiah and Zeke each plant themselves on either side of Cozy, leaving the rest of us to spread out as best as we can while keeping close to her.
Micah and I end up resting down near her feet while Ridge takes up the spot above her head, pulling up the streaming app we need before passing her the remote. For the rest of the day, we watch every movie she hasn’t seen yet, then we watch some she has seen. Through it all, we switch up our positions after each movie, until eventually, we all fall asleep, curled up with our omega inhernest and the soundtrack toBeauty and the Beastplaying in the background.

Fresh out of the shower, I head downstairs, not used to so much quiet here after the last week. The house is usually bustling by this time, so when I step into the kitchen and only see Zeke, my brows rise.
“Seems it’s just tha two o’ us taday, Ducky. What shall we do?” Zeke asks me, and I tilt my head at him as my lips quirk up.
“Where’d everyone else go?” I ask, surprised to note that even Jeremiah is missing.
“It’s Jeremiah’s first day o’ regular people’s work, so he an’ Manny went in together. Ridge went in tae finish up some work on a client’s car, an’ Micah had a’ emergency wi’ a patient, so he had tae go intae his office.”
“You didn’t need to go with Ridge to help?” I ask him curiously as I climb onto one of the stools surrounding the island.
“Nah. It’s nothin’ he canae handle. I’d much rather look at yer pretty face all day than at car parts.”
With wide eyes, I look up at him as he hands me a glass of chocolate milk, feeling a tightness in my throat at the sweet gesture. He starts fixing me a plate of whatever he’s cooked, winking at me when he slides a full plate in front of me, and I can’t help but be mesmerized as he moves gracefully around the kitchen.
While I eat, he cleans up, the comfortable silence between us only broken up by the sound of running water as he washes the dishes. Once he’s finished, he leans across the island in front of me, resting his chin in his palm as he stares over at me with a wide smile.
“What?” I ask with a laugh, finishing my breakfast and wiping my mouth with the napkin he passes me.
“Nothin’. So? What would ye like tae do taday?” he chuckles, taking my empty plate and washing it before putting it away.
I purse my lips as I consider his question before I smile at him with a shrug.
“Can we go out for ice cream, then come back home for a cuddle and more movies in the nest?”
I’m content here, and I’m not very picky about what any of us do as long as we’re together. I know eventually one of them will want to take me to do other things, but movies and cuddles here are what I enjoy most right now. Even before my time in captivity, I was a homebody. I’m an introvert to my core, andI’m okay with that. Besides, I’m also incredibly partial to my new nest, because it’s really amazing.
“If that’s what ye want tae do. There’s a nice little ice cream shop in town that has just about every flavor ye can think o’ an’ more.”
I grin at him, hopping off my stool and rounding the island. He turns to face me, looking down at me with his lips curled as I lean up on my tiptoes. He has to bend so I can reach him, and when he does, I kiss his cheek, falling back flat on my feet as my cheeks warm.
“Be right back!”
I run back upstairs to my room and grab my phone, stopping in the bathroom to give myself a quick look over in the mirror. For the first time in… well, I can’t remember how long, I like what I see.
My eyes are sparkling in a way that I don’t think they ever have, full of optimism, excitement, and genuine happiness. I’ve smiled so much in the last couple of months, but especially since moving in with Zeke and the rest of the pack, that my cheeks feel sore most days. My skin is glowing, and I’ve gained all the weight back that I lost, so now I can actually fill out my clothes instead of them hanging from my bony frame.
I look and feel…good, and I love that so much.
Leaving my room, I meet Zeke back downstairs and we walk outside, hand in hand, to his truck. Once he’s helped me in and buckled my seat belt, he climbs in and we head out.
