“Yeah, I heard, but guess what?”

“What?” I asked.

“Your knight in shining armor isn’t innocent.”

“I didn’t think he was,” I replied.

“The only reason the knights have kept you safe is because I owed them money. You are nothing but another payment,” I spat in his face.

“Fuck you, I’m about to get married to one, and he is going to fucking kill you.”

He picked me up by the throat, my feet hanging off the ground. He slammed me down onto the dirty concrete, and I closed my eyes in preparation for the blows I knew were coming.

“Enough” powers through the room, and my eyes flew open. “Derek!” I screamed.

He grabbed Lionel by the back of the neck and lifted him like a rag doll, slamming him into the table behind us. “You will not ever speak to or address my fiancé again; she is not a fucking payment. As a matter of fact, consider your debt unpaid, and you know what, you worthless piece of shit, I won’t kill you. Instead, I’m going to make sure you live a full life in this shit hole, only you will no longer be allowed any contact with the outside.”

Derek leaned in and whispered, “I’m going to make sure I put the word out about how you like to take advantage of little girls so that every fucking man in here fucks your ass until it bleeds and then uses it as lube until your insides are on the outside. Don’t fuck with what’s mine, and Britt is mine by choice, not force. Something that no other little bitch can ever say. Now kiss the fucking floor.”

Lionel didn’t say one fucking word, and then after making sure I was okay, Derek kicked his head into the floor, breaking his nose and teeth.

“Figure I’d loosen up your jaw too because they are going to be fucking your fowl mouth as well.”

Derek grabbed my hand and led us out of the prison.

We stopped once we were outside, and he made sure I was okay again, his eyes desperately assessing me for damage.

“I’m okay, caveman, I promise. I’m just glad you showed up when you did.”

“Why do you keep saving me?” I questioned, wrapping my arms around him in a hug. He embraced me back, this being out of our element.

“Because I’m in love with you trouble, I don’t know how, and I don’t know why. I just know that I am.”

“Same” Is all I responded with. “Let me make you feel good,”

“No,” he said, stinging my heart.

“Oh” was all I managed to croak out, my throat thick with emotion. Of course, he didn’t want me after that.

He lifted me, my legs wrapping around him naturally.

“Not because I don’t want to trouble, but because I want to wait until Christmas.”

He ground up into me, “See baby,” his hard cock pressed against my warm center. “See what you do to me.”

“caveman,” I whispered.

“Yes, trouble?”

“I can’t wait to be yours.” Then he kissed me so deeply and so passionately that our souls tied together, the eclipse of the sun and the moon, a collision that should end in destruction. Our tongues touched as we gasped for air in between.

Chapter 13

Derek

Christmas Eve

I hadn’t seen Britt since the night after she visited Lionel. I spent the night with her, and we talked all night, learning about each other. Her life was so hard; we grew up polar opposites but still were created for each other perfectly; we balanced each other out and were equal. It was Christmas Eve, the night of my induction as the leader of the knights.
