Chapter Thirty-Seven

Raelynn

The ringing of a phone wakes me up from my sleep. Or maybe it’s the mass of man crawling over me to grab the ringing phone that wakes me up.

“What the hell is Summer calling you for? She knows we both have the day off today.”

I groan as I grab the phone from Brooks. I look at the time. It’s just past seven. This is way too early for my day off. “She probably can’t find the butter or something. She’ll get over it.” I put the phone on silent and throw it across the room.

Brooks laughs into my neck as he pulls me into him. I can feel his erection against my thigh as I wrap a leg around his waist.

“Well now that we are both awake…” he says.

“Or we could go back to sleep,” I answer.

His hand travels down my torso, he twists one of my nipples and I yelp as his hand travels farther south. One finger slides between my folds as his lips find my ear. “Your body isn’t telling me you want to go to sleep.”

I try to scurry out of his arms, but he pins me down, grabbing both wrists and trapping them beside my head. His body hovering over me. His mouth licking its way across my clavicle and down to my breasts.

I squirm beneath him, but this time it’s not because I want to get away.

His phone starts vibrating on the bedside table. We both look at it and ignore it going back to what we were starting.

He blows a cool breath of air across my nipples sending goosebumps across my body. I struggle to move my arms, but he keeps his hold on me as his mouth moves down my body, teasing my nipples before he finally sucks one into his mouth.

I thrust my hips at him. His impatience takes over as he moves my arms above my head and holds me down with one hand as he grips my hip with the other and slowly slides into me.

It’s barely thirty seconds of lustful pleasure before a banging happens on the front door.

“What the fuck!” Brooks mutters into my neck, his thrusts slowing down.

“She’ll leave.”

“You really think so?”

I unwrap my legs from his waist. “Probably not.”

The banging on the door comes to stop. I think he is going to start thrusting again when he asks, “Did you lock the door last night?”

“We never lock the door.”

I look at him with wide eyes just as his do the same. We don’t even have time to pull apart before the bedroom door flies open.

“Will one of you wake up I have to tell you—oh my god,” Summer says as she turns around quickly hiding her eyes.

Brooks pulls out of me quickly, scrambling out of bed to pull on shorts and throws his t-shirt at me. “What the fuck, Summer?”

“I am so sorry. I thought y’all were sleeping in. I didn’t think that you might be, you know…” She doesn’t even finish her sentence, her hand still covering her face. I can tell she is embarrassed, who wouldn’t be. A streak of red climbs up her neck, her other hand going to her round belly.

“You can turn around now,” I say once I am halfway decent thanks to Brooks’ t-shirt.

Her hand moves from her face to her chest as she turns around. “I—you—I am not—why didn’t you lock the door?”

“Who the hell is gonna break into our house, Summer?” Brooks answers.

She looks like she contemplates it for a minute before she says, “You’re right. Okay well—ugh now that we got that out of our way. We have a problem, Rae.”

I look at her and then Brooks who shrugs at me. “What’s the problem?”
