“I haven’t seen her since that day. I should have done more. Should have just pushed everything, but honestly, I haven’t been looking for her as I could have. Didn’t really start looking for her until you were eighteen. I’m fucking sorry.”
She looked up at me, then nodded. “Okay.”
I grinned back, “Okay.”
Chapter 16
Chloe
I got it all. I truly did.
And I forgave Asher. Technically, he didn’t do anything wrong, even though, at the time, it felt like he had.
I’d talked to Stella, too. Like always, she and I were good.
That was why I opened the box he had left with me, removed the tissue paper, and saw the black leather kutte nestled inside of it.
I smiled as I saw Property of Asher on the back of it.
Bringing it to my nose, I smiled.
Leather and Asher. All rolled into one. There was nothing better.
I’d made my decision.
And it was time to tell him.
As I strode into the clubhouse in black fitted jeans, black heels, a red top, and my property kutte on my back, I smiled at the girls.
Stella came to me first and smiled, “Damn, but that looks good on you.”
I smiled at her, “It feels pretty good, too.”
“They’re in church, don’t think dad will mind,” and with that, she winked at me, then walked across the floor and knocked on the doors to church.
I stood there waiting with bated breath.
The door opened, and then I saw Trigger’s face, he listened to her, then looked over her head.
His eyes widened, and then he smiled.
Then he turned his head and said something.
The next thing I knew, I heard something slam into the wall, then the door was opened wider, and there he stood.
All six-foot-two of glorious muscle, looking hot as sin.
He looked at me, did a top to toe, then he started forward.
I didn’t move.
I could feel all the brother’s eyes on me as they emptied out of church.
But it was Asher’s I was most concerned about.
He stopped just a breath of me and said, “You forgive me?”
I stared into his eyes and asked, “Do you forgive me?”
