“Thank you,” Bianca said as she took it from her, brought the cup to her lips and leaned her head against the chair. “Please, have a seat.”

The gorgeous couple eased down onto the matching chairs opposite her desk, and Bianca’s brow rose with curiosity. “What’s going on?”

“I wanted to apologize again. I am so sorry about Sierra finding out like that,” Sheyna said apologetically.

Bianca shook her head and refused to let her take the blame. “It’s not your fault. It’s mine. I should have been more careful.”

She managed a weak smile. “No,Ishould have known better.”

“No worries.”

Sheyna nodded but still looked uncomfortable. “How did the talk go with Sierra?”

“It went better than I expected,” Bianca replied. But it was far from good, she thought as she rubbed the bridge of her nose. “London’s pissed, but I should have told him.”

“I agree. You should have told him,” Jace scolded. “That man had a right to know.”

Sheyna shot him a look before she jumped to her defense. “Bianca had her reasons.”

Jace gave a rude snort. “There are never reasons to keep secrets in a marriage.”

Sheyna gave him a pointed look before shifting her gaze back to Bianca. “Did you explain to him why you didn’t tell him?”

Bianca nodded. “I tried, but he is so mad he doesn’t want to talk about it.”

“What?” Sheyna looked at her with surprise.

It had been two days, and each time Bianca tried to start the discussion, London immediately changed the subject to something else.

“I would be mad if it were me.”

Both women turned to look at Jace.

“You should have told him. He had a right to know,” he told his sister.

She took another sip, waiting for him to continue.

“I’mserious,” he said before setting his cup down on the end of her desk. “Look at it this way. Let’s say Sheyna didn’t know she was dating a married man.”

Sheyna sucked her teeth and caused Bianca to smirk.

Jace winked and looked at his wife before continuing, “As I said, Sheyna’s dating a married man, then discovered she’s pregnant and panics. Being the man I am, I step in and marry her.”

Sheyna looks at Bianca long enough to playfully roll her eyes.

“Now, I’ve been JJ’s daddy since day one, then suddenly that fool moves to town and now, he wants to be a father to a son I spent the last ten years not only raising as a Beaumont, but I love him like he’s my own. But the worst part is Sheyna’s been sneaking around seeing this dude behind my back.”

“I wasn’t sneaking!” Bianca insisted.

He angled his head. “Did London know?”

She crossed her arms beneath her chest. “Well, no, but—”

“Then you were sneaking.” Jace grinned, revealing a set of beautiful straight white teeth.

Sheyna’s eyebrows lifted slightly. “I hate to say it, but he’s right.”

“Of course, I’m right. You talked on the phone, met at a cupcake shop, and Oooh! Wait for it….”
