And that was when I kissed him.

His lips were a soft peach pressed against mine. Tense at first, they slowly loosened. As they did, I slid my hand around the nape of his neck pushing my fingers through his curly dark hair. His head fell into my grasp.

Gently parting my lips, he followed. Tilting my head, my tongue entered his mouth in search of his. They touched with a spark.

Curving the tip of my tongue inviting his, our tongues danced with one another. Tingles raced up and down my body holding him. My cock grew hard as I lost myself.

Not knowing if Quin wanted this, I loosened my grip about to let go. That was when Quin pushed his hands up my side and onto my back. He pulled my chest onto his removing the space between us. When he did, my hard cock pressed onto him.

The blood that rushed to my head made me lightheaded. I wanted to be with him so badly that I ached for him. And when I felt his hard cock push against my thigh, I nearly lost it.

I pulled my lips away from his burying my cheek into his mess of hair.

“Don’t stop,” he whispered making it even harder for me to let him go.

“I shouldn’t distract you. This is important to me,” I told him not sure if it was more important than kissing him.

Quin didn’t reply, nor did he move. We both kept holding each other with our hard dicks pressed against one another. With him in my arms, I wondered what his soft lips would feel like around my cock. I flinched thinking about it. Quin felt it and his cock flinched in reply.

Jesus, I wanted him. I wanted everything about him. But, I wanted the first time we were together to be somewhere special and meaningful. I didn’t want it to be an intermission from tracking down whatever did this to my dragon shifter dad.

“I really care about you,” I whispered, my lips right above his ear.

“I care about you too,” Quin told me before slowly loosening his grip.

Our release was gradual and painful. It took everything in me to peel off of him.

After eating one of the frozen pizzas Quin had brought, he shifted, I collected his clothes, and we both got into my truck. I wasn’t sure how this was going to work. But when he looked at me and then stared at the road leading left, I understood.

We drove for over an hour like this. It was weird how natural it all felt. I was in the truck with someone who had shifted into a wolf and it was telling me where to drive. I should have been freaked out. Yet, there was something inside of me that was energized.

Nothing changed until we had spent 20 minutes on a small county road and the wolf suddenly got restless. Frantic, it looked at me and growled. The hairs on the back of my neck prickled.

What was I supposed to do? I was locked in a box with a creature that could tear me to shreds if it wanted to. The only thing I could think of was to stop the truck. When I did, it stopped growling and paced back and forth on the bench seat. It was acting like it needed to get out.

Risking my life, I leaned past it and opened the passenger door. As soon as I did, the wolf sprinted out. It was heading back up the road. I pulled the truck over and slowly got out. Having entered the mountains, the temperature had dropped tremendously. I stuck my hands in my pockets and tensed to stay warm.

I was expecting the wolf to keep running forever, but it didn’t. It ran for a hundred feet and then sniffed frantically. It circled a particular area and ran into the woods. It was gone for less than a minute before crossing the street and disappearing on the other side.

I didn’t know what to do as I stood chilled to my bones waiting for him. Looking around, I did my best to figure out what was going on and then noticed the remnants of a stone wall. I was about to take a closer look when the wolf returned and shifted.

In moments, Quin was standing naked in front of me. I couldn’t help but sneak a peek at his body. God was he gorgeous. And the way he approached told me that he didn’t feel the freezing temperature at all and that he felt no self-consciousness about being undressed.

“There’s something here,” he said.

“Something like what?”

“I don’t know. But, the trail just stops. And when we drove into it, he lost his sense of smell. Whatever it is continues for as far as he went on either side,” Quin told me suddenly contracting. “It’s cold here.”

That was my signal. I took off my shirt and put it on him. I then wrapped my arms around him and hurried him back to my truck. When we got there, he climbed in and got dressed. Even though he had been standing in front of me naked moment before, I gave him privacy. When he was clothed and settled, I joined him.

“Do you know where we are?” Quin asked me shivering.

I turned on the truck and the heat.

“I’ve had the map on my phone on, but according to it, there’s nothing out here.”

“There’s something here. I don’t know what. But, it makes him uneasy. It was like he couldn’t breathe even though he could. I guess it felt like if you suddenly went blind.”
