“I hear you.”

“Good.”

Cage let me go and rejoined Quin. I watched them get comfortable in each other’s arms.

“There’s probably something else I should tell you now that we’re talking about stuff.”

“What’s that?” My brother asked.

“I, ah, I think I want what you have?”

Cage twisted his head confused. “What I have?”

“You know, Quin,” I said vulnerably.

“Bro, Quin’s taken,” he said with a smile.

“You know what I mean.”

“Actually, I don’t.”

“Come on,” I said not wanting to explain myself.

“You need to say the words,” Cage told me no longer hiding what he knew.

My chest hurt looking at the two caring faces staring back. Taking a deep breath, I gathered myself. This was it. I was going to say it out loud.

“I like guys. I think I’ve always liked guys. I might like girls too, but it doesn’t feel the same with them. It never has. Also, I might’ve found my fated mate. It’s early but I think he could be the one.”

“Kendall?” Cage offered.

“Yeah.”

“What is he?” Quin asked bluntly.

“I was hoping you might know,” I said with a smile.

“He has no scent. How is that possible?” Quin continued.

“I don’t know. But that’s gotta mean he’s not human, right?”

“Not necessarily. He could be under a protection spell. But I told him who I was and he seemed okay with it.”

“He was more than okay with it,” I corrected. “He liked you so much that if you weren’t with Cage, I’d be jealous,” I joked.

“Have you told him that you’re a wolf shifter too?” Cage asked.

“No.”

“Why not?”

“I haven’t had a good opportunity. I first had to deal with him hating football players,” I said with a chuckle.

“Why does he hate football players?” Quin asked.

“I asked him and he wouldn’t talk about it. He can be pretty closed off. It doesn’t exactly put me in a sharing mood.”

“Then, maybe you should ask him again,” Cage suggested.
