“Ahh,” he squealed when he came up for air.

“How’s the water?”

“Not cold at all.”

“Really?”

“Strip down and dive in.”

I did what I was told and undressed. Lou didn’t take his eyes off of me. When there was nothing between us but a pair of boxer briefs, I ran forward and dove in.

“You liar,” I shouted when I surfaced.

Lou giggled. “See, this is why we only use it as a moat.”

“This thing is freezing.”

“Come on. It can’t be any worse than swimming in the waterfalls when you were a kid.”

“What do you know about me swimming in waterfalls?” I said wading towards him.

“You’re not the only one who listens when someone speaks. I remember you talking about how you would catch fireflies and skinny-dip in waterfalls when you were growing up.”

“You’re making me sound like a character in a bad southern novel or something.”

“Did you not catch fireflies in mason jars?” Lou said floating closer.

“We did catch fireflies in mason jars.”

“And did you not skinny-dip down at the creek.”

“There was a creek and we did sometimes skinny-dip in it.”

“Then if the stereotype fits…” he said now inches from me.

Despite the cold water, I could feel his body heat. It encircled me. My heart thumped looking into his eyes.

I wanted to kiss him. My body ached for it. My hard cock throbbed wanting to pull his body onto mine. And finally, when I couldn’t take any more, I leaned forward and reached for him. As I did, he leaned back and splashed water into my face.

Not sure what to think of it, I wiped the water out of my eyes and stared at him. He was giggling.

“Oh, you think that’s funny, huh?” I said shooting a spray of water back.

Wiping his face, he shot another one at me. I replied with a perfectly aimed shot that caught him between the eyes.

“Are you forgetting that I grew up skinny-dipping at the crick? This is how we fought wars where I’m from,” I declared before he sent more water my way.

“Oh, you did it now,” I said launching into a full-on offensive.

As much as Lou held his own, in the end, he was no match for the tidal wave I unleashed on him. When he realized it, he tried to swim away. I swam after him. I couldn’t tell if his fancy country club swim lessons had let him down or if he had let me, but I caught him. And as he struggled to escape, I turned him until his lips were inches from mine.

He stopped struggling and stared at me. He wasn’t going to stop me. He was going to let me collect my prize. But as I leaned in about to do what I had dreamed about for so long, a voice shattered the mood.

“My, my. It’s like watching seals on heat. Do seals go on heat? Or is that just something dogs do?” Chris said staring down at us from the edge of the pool.

Seeing him, I let Lou go. Lou swam away as if caught doing something wrong.

“What do you want, Chris?” he asked bitterly.
