“No. He has an ex who can get me into a special showcase.”

“That’s amazing.”

“But, I would need to spend the summer with him training.”

“Are you doing it?” Titus asked excitedly.

“I don’t know. I have responsibilities here… with you.”

“Are you talking about this place?”

“Yeah.”

“Lou and I can handle it while you’re gone,” he said with a smile. “He’s already been talking about ways he can be involved with the business. I think he’s trying to get me to invite him to live with me.”

“Oh, that’s right. He’s graduating this spring.”

“Yeah,” Titus said nervously.

“And?”

“I mean, I love him. Why wouldn’t I invite him to move in? He loves the town. He loves Quin and Quin will be here. It just makes sense, right?”

“And how do you feel about it?”

Titus huffed.

“Nervous. I mean, that’s a big step, isn’t it?”

“Do you love him?”

“No doubt.”

“Do you think you two will get along if you lived together?”

“I hope so. I know we have fun when we’re together. It just feels like a lot to have him there every day.”

“I get that,” I admitted.

“What about you? You think you could live with Merri? For the summer, I mean? Do you think you two would get along?”

“At university, the two of us were inseparable.”

“Just like me and Lou.”

“So, I guess neither of us will have that hard of a time adjusting,” I suggested.

“I guess we won’t,” Titus said with a smile.

“Are you going to invite Lou to move in?”

“I guess I’ll have to. You know, with you being in Florida for the summer and all,” he said with a smile.

I grabbed Titus in a hug. “Thanks. I appreciate you.”

“I appreciate you too, bro,” Titus told me, giving me the encouragement I needed to go.

It didn’t take long before training with Merri felt like we were back at university. Our days were filled with wind sprints and passing drills while our nights were all about the PlayStation.
