I see Echo look at Corey and mouthOh my godas he gyrates around, body rolling and sensually teasing all of the women here with his skills.

Looking over at Romeo, I see him covering Julianna’s eyes, who is trying to move away from him to see.

And of course then they have to put “Pony” back on again.

I dance the rest of the night away with Corey, lost in each other, surrounded by our family.

I went from a foster kid no one wanted to adopt, to this.

Life couldn’t get any better.

A few days later a letter comes for Corey, and it’s from her mom. She reads it and then hands it to me.

Corey, thank you for the painting. I can see why it reminds you of Matthew, and that now he is free. I hung it up on my wall. I know we haven’t always had the best relationship, and I’m sorry. I’m not perfect, and I do love you.

Mom

Corey smiles but doesn’t say anything else. She’s in a good place, one where it doesn’t matter what anyone else says about her, they don’t hold any power. She knows her worth.

“That was a beautiful painting,” is all I say to her, and her face lights up.

“Thank you. I’m glad she saw it for what it was.” She pauses, and adds, “And I’m glad you see me for who I am.”

The best decision I ever made was taking a gamble on this woman.

Damon

Two Years Later

Standing in the pool of our clubhouse, I grip Corey’s hips, the material of her red bikini sliding along my fingers. All of us merging together here has been the best thing we’ve ever done, and after a year of us all living together, the MC is stronger than ever. Julianna won her fight for equality, and finally women are allowed to become official members. Although we’re still protective as hell, we include them in everything we can without putting them in too much danger.

Corey turns and wraps her arms around my neck. I have to lower my head so she can reach. “If no one else was around right now I would lift you up and fuck you right here,” I whisper against the shell of her ear.

“Mmm,” she murmurs, sliding her fingers down my back.

“Don’t mind us, we like the show!” Blaze calls out, smirking. I make a mental note to kick his ass later.

Dr. Shine strolls out from inside, handing Jag a beer and sitting down next to him. How he got her, I will never know.

“You’ll just have to wait until we get back to our room,” Corey replies, amusement dancing in her eyes.

I can’t remember a time when I’ve ever been this happy.

We’ve spoken about maybe having a baby in the next few years, but Corey is still not sure what she wants, and I’m okay with that. A life with her is more than enough for me.

A pregnant Bella swims over to us, a glass of lemonade in her hand. “I know River is your brother-in-law now, but he will still kill you if you keep touching her like that in front of everyone.”

Corey rolls her eyes and places her hand on my chest, the big oval-shaped diamond sparkling in the sun. “River can get over it; I’m a married woman now.”

Unable to help myself, I kiss her slowly, savoring the moment.

Echo and Diamond join us, the bastard splashing us all as he jumps in.

Corey opens her arms and takes Julian from Julianna, sliding him into the water. Leaning back against the pool’s edge, I watch everyone and smile to myself.

This is wealth.

Loyalty.

My beautiful wife.

My found family.

I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
