Page 26 of Misguided Vows
I don’t know why I’m shocked every time he says something so promiscuous.
“Does this seriously work on other women?”
“You’ve asked me this before, love. I don’t try this hard on other women.”
“Oh, that makes me feel special.”
“You are special,” he says, continuing to stare at me. I stare back. Something passes between us, and it makes us both uncomfortable. I don’t like the way he looks at me at times like these. Like he can see me. Therealme. Theuglyme.
“You have ten freckles on your nose,” he says seriously.
“Did you just count my freckles?”
“Yes. And your lips form this sad heart shape when you’re mad, like right now.” He nods to my lips.
“What do you want from me?” I ask, frustrated and tired with not understanding this man. Before, I wanted nothing to do with him. But now I’m noticing I’m becoming interested. And being interested is a bad thing. “Is it just sex?”
“Just sex…” he ponders. His accent thick when he says it. “At first, yes. I wanted to fuck you because you didn’t want me, and I liked that. Now? Well, now I just want to fuck you.”
“That’s sweet, but I’m still not fucking you,” I say, looking outside the window, feigning boredom. The thing with Will is he’s defiantly the person your mother as a child would’ve told you not to play with. He’s mischievous and most likely will get you into all sorts of trouble. The problem being I was that child as well. I was just nevercaught.I inwardly smirk. I’d never admit it to him, but he brings out a playful side of me that I haven’t had for quite some years. He is as refreshing as he is irritating.
“I bet I can get you to fuck me,” he says matter-of-fact. I turn to him now. This man knows how to challenge me in ways no one has been daring enough before or more specially I was always in control of the game we played.
“You really think you can make a bet like that?” Unfortunately, I’m nothing short of competitive, and I think this asshole knows it because his arrogant smile kicks up, forming that single dimple.
“I’m counting on it, love.”
CHAPTER 14
Alina
The car slows down, and I realize we’re at an air strip.
Will gets out first and then opens my door. We didn’t speak much after the betting comment. The ride has been sexually charged ever since. A small part of me reminds me that he’s my friend’s brother and I so shouldn’t be looking at him this way. The plane incident I could knock off as a onetime thing. But whatever we’re heading toward is a train wreck.
And part of me wants in on that.
When I step out of the car, I notice two men in suits waiting for our arrival. A red carpet is laid out to the staircases of two airplanes.
“Mr. Walker, it’s a pleasure to see you again.” The men look at me expectantly.
“This is Alina, she’ll be assisting me today on picking an aircraft.”
Is he for real? Has he really brought me to help him purchase his own fucking plane?
They smile and we shake hands. Will is watching me through the lenses of his dark sunglasses. I might not be able to see his eyes, but I always know when his gaze is on me.
When the first man offers to take us on a tour of the first plane, I fall back a few steps to Will’s side.
“Is this a joke?” I hiss under my breath.
He chuckles. “Why would I bring you here as a joke? I consider my humor in better taste.”
I gawk at him now. I knew he was loaded but come on. A fucking private plane?
“Still think I sit at home playing video games with my dick in my hand?” he asks with an arrogant smile as he waves for me to step onto the staircase of the first aircraft.
Who the fuck is this guy?
