I laugh as he practically runs and launches himself onto the hotel bed.

Chapter forty-one

The doorbell rings. "Eek! They're finally here!!" Babygirl squeals as she pulls herself from my arms. We've been making out to pass the time and now I have to hide my semi. Okay, fuck semi I was fucking hard for her. She'd been stress-baking all morning, anxious about my family's arrival, so to distract her I ate her out on the kitchen island before she blew me and we ended up just making out for what felt like hours.

Luckily, we'd had the forethought to brush our teeth and wash our faces before making out so we weren't hugging family smelling like our combined releases.

Babygirl squeals again, as I round the corner to the front door to see her pulling my sister into a hug before releasing her and pulling my Dad into a hug. His cheeks tinge pink at the attention and I take that as a good sign.

"Oh my God, I can't believe you're actually here!" Angela squeals. I pull her into me, laughing, to calm her down.

"Hey little man! Are you ready to see your new room?" Angela says, scooping Andy up in a big hug and propping him on her hip. "I spared no expense! I got you a dinosaur lamp, and a shark poster, and dinosaur sheets and all the books you could ever possibly want...and... I got us matching pajamas! How cool is that?!"

Amy chuckles beneath me as I give her and Dad a hug.

"I'm so glad you're here. Truly." I whisper to them.

My Dad simply shakes his head. "Boy, I don't know how you did it, but you found yourself a unicorn. Don't let that one go." I give my dad a knowing look, thinking about what I have hidden in my underwear drawer. The boys and I had a brief talk about it while Angela was in the shower after we returned from West Virginia and luckily, we're all on the same page. That woman will become ours. There's no other option.

"I don't plan on it."

I usher them through the main house to the backyard. Angela's a few paces ahead of us, happily chattering away to an enraptured Andy. The pool house has a small kitchen, living room area with a master bedroom at the back, while the next two rooms are upstairs. It's small, but it's perfect.

As we enter, I can hear Angela upstairs already.

"Dad, you're in the back there." I motion, "And Amy, you and Andy are upstairs. I hope you don't mind that we bought Andy a new set of sheets and decorated a little already. If you or he don't like something just take it down. Angela knows she got a little excited about you guys coming to live with us."

My sister shakes her head before climbing the stairs. "Really, you guys shouldn't have. But," she adds quickly. "I do really appreciate it. It means a lot to us that we're not just charity, but that we're welcome here. And I plan to work my ass off to make sure we earn it."

I smile. I know Angela wouldn't care if Amy worked for her or not, but I also know Amy will insist on earning her way.

"Mommy, look at my new room!" Andy calls, jumping on his bed.

"It's beautiful, baby!" My sister chimes in.

Angela steps in closer to my sister and whispers. "Please let me know if I overstepped with anything. I'm just excited. I've never had a nephew before, and I feel like as his honorary aunt I wanted to spoil him a little. But you're mom, your word is law. Please don't ever worry about telling me 'no'."

Amy shakes her head and chuckles, as if she couldn't imagine a world in which she wouldn't let someone spoil her baby. Andy's already had a rougher life, his Dad's a drug addict and was in and out of his life until Amy got full custody six months ago. Even with full custody, she's worked odd hours at the salon just to get by. I'm not sure Amy would deny him anything at this point.

Someone must have directed the movers to the pool house because men start filing in with boxes.

"Let's get out of their way so they can finish their jobs."

"Does Andy know how to swim?" Angela asks.

"No, I've never had the time to teach him." Amy says, a pink tinging her cheeks in embarrassment.

"Well good!" Angela cheers. "Because I bought all the floaties. Wanna hit the pool buddy?" She turns, asking Andy. "It's super important you learn how to swim if you live next to a pool." She drops her voice low and serious.

"Is it okay mommy? Can I go swim with Aunty Angie?"

Babygirl hugs him close to her and gives a fake pouty face at how much she loves being called Aunty Angie.

Amy laughs. "Of course, baby. But you have to follow all the rules and do everything Aunt Angie says." She says before shooting Angela a wink.
