“We’re doing this for us—for our future,” said Finn. “But we’re also doing it for you. For your sister. For everyone who’s been held back by the council’s reign.”

“And we’re doing it because we want to be together,” Marshall said, his voice gentle but firm.

It was overwhelming, and yet, in this moment, it felt like the most natural thing in the world. Of course, they would make sure we were all protected and that the future of our families was secured. I knew they’d been planning this for months, even before they freed the omegas from the council’s hold, but hearing it like this, with their voices filled with such certainty, was everything.

“We’re not going anywhere,” August said again. “And neither are you.”

I stepped forward, wrapping my arms around August, Marshall, Finn, and Mily. They all held me tightly as if to make sure I was really here with them.

The fear that had been gnawing at my heart finally melted away. We were building something real—something that would last—a life, a family, a future.

We would be together through everything.
