“We?” he questioned. His head tilted slightly as he studied me, and a grin spread across his face.

Fuck me!Why are you so stupid, Katrina?

He mirrored every step I took toward the driver’s door. A feral glint in his eyes that sent a shiver of fear down my spine.

“Please,” I begged and held a shaky hand up.

I now stood in front of Leona’s door, too afraid to move. He could easily grab her if I didn’t start the engine fast enough. Gravel crunched from behind me, but I didn’t dare take my eyes off the man before me. Somehow, I knew he was the bigger threat.

“I love it when they beg,” a voice said from behind me. My back stiffened as I contemplated my next move.

The man before me inhaled deeply before he let out a groan as he licked his lips. The movement was predatory. His gaze dipped down my body, still covered in wet coffee, the thin fabric not leaving much up to the imagination. I suppressed the urge to cover myself. I couldn’t show weakness. Within a blink, the man in front of me had my back pinned against the car. His hand encased my throat, his eyes hypnotized mine.

How did he move so fast? It’s not possible.

“Mama!” Leona screamed and pounded on the window behind me, but those eyes held me captive. I couldn’t pull my gaze from him, no matter how much I tried.

“You will not run, will you, my pet? You’re going to do as I say, aren’t you?” he asked in a velvet like voice, one that lulled me into submission.

My erratic heart slowed at his words while my brain urged me to fight. A tingling sensation settled over my fingers and toes, and my brain felt sluggish.

“Stop playing with your food, Spider.”

Being called food should have got my ass into gear, but still I was frozen. A single tear ran down my cheek as I fought for control of my body.

What is happening to me?

“Please don’t hurt my daughter. Take whatever you want.”

The only thing I cared about was my little girl. I didn’t escape one monster, only to be thrown into the arms of another. Both men bursted out with laughter and made me flinch. The one holding me against the car, Spider, ran a hand down my body and groped my hips. I hissed in pain. The last time John took his pleasures from my body, he was extremely rough and the bruises he left behind still hadn’t healed.

“Pet. Pet. Pet. You can not offer me anything that isn’t already mine to take. I am your master and as long as you behave, I’ll spare your child. For now.”

A malicious smile crossed his ugly face that revealed teeth that seem too large for his face. Before I had time to respond, the roar of motorcycles’ engines in the distance was coming in fast.

“Fuck! Let’s go! We can’t be here when the Dark Legion MC shows up,” the other guy said frantically.

God damn it! How many motorcycle gangs are in this stupid town?

Spider, my current “master”, growled in frustration, clearly not liking his game being interrupted. His fingers dug into my neck tighter and stole the air from my lungs. I finally found the strength to fight back. My nails dug into his forearms in an attempt to free myself, but his strength overpowered mine and no matter how hard I fought, I couldn’t escape him.

“Spider!” he bellowed again. “Fine! Take the girl and meet me at the clubhouse.”

Spider scooped me up into his arms like I weighed nothing and took off into the trees surrounding the service station. I screamed and kicked, but it was no use. I couldn’t break free of his hold. The trees sped past us in a blur of colors, too fast for my eyes to track.

“Leona, RUN!” I screamed one last time as a prick on my shoulder had my vision blurring and white hot pain erupted down my body.

What did he stab me with? No! If he gets me to a secondary location, that’s it.

I tried to fight again, but my limbs wouldn’t respond. My sluggish brain could barely comprehend what was happening as I fell to the ground, my clothing instantly wet from the icy puddles.

What did Spider give me?

I wiped my shoulder where the needle pierced my skin. My fingers came back coated in a sticky crimson. Blood.

What the hell? Why would I be bleeding from a needle?

I squinted, trying to identify my surroundings, and Spider’s face came into view, his mouth covered in crimson.
