“Whenever we are in the shower together we end up doing this again. Why is that?”

“I can’t ever seem to get enough of you,” he said. “It’s like this addiction I never want to break.”

“That’s sweet in a controlling kind of way. I don’t even mind it.”

He reared up fast. “That came out completely wrong.”

“Nope,” she said. “I think it came out right and I wanted to hear it. Maybe I needed to hear it so I could finally tell you how much I love you.”

He let out a breath and kissed her softly on the lips. “I love you too.”

“I know you do. I know you know I love you too. It’s just we haven’t said it and I think it was time.”

“It is time,” he said, nodding and standing up. “I’m going to go clean up.”

“Take a shower,” she said. “I’ll just wash up while you’re in there.”

“No,” he said. “We can do it together quickly. I’ll keep my hands off of you.”

“Do you have the restraint?” she asked, laughing.

“I do. Can you grab my clothes so I’m not coming back out here naked? I’m sure if any of your neighbors are around they know what we just did.”

“Probably,” she said. “But with any luck no one is.”

She reached for their clothing and then met him in the bathroom.

They showered together with only a few touches here and there and then got dressed again.

One good thing she could say was that she was completely relaxed over this visit now.

GREEN LIGHT

“Jumping you hadn’t been my intent when I asked if I could come over earlier,” he said when they were driving to her parents’ house.

“I know,” she said. “But we need to take advantage of things while we can.”

Michael hated it when she said things like that.

Not that he thought she was pining for more time with him. Just that it was a reminder that they didn’t have much time together.

He was hoping for that to change soon.

Ty was happy with Kelly. Said she was nice and he wouldn’t mind seeing her again.

That wasn’t a green light for Kelly to be there every night. Nor stay the night yet either.

But it was enough that he was hoping the three of them could spend some time together this weekend doing something fun.

The fact that his parents met Kelly and he was meeting her parents meant things were getting more serious. He was going to talk to her about it not being such a secret at work.

If they weren’t afraid of people finding things out, they could try for lunch now and again too. He could swing over to the pub to meet her. But to do that, they’d have to be out in the open.

“I’m trying,” he said. “Speaking of that…maybe if more people knew about us, we could go out more.”

“More people like who?” she asked.
