The plan was straightforward.

In theory, at least.

Kane and the other Daddies decided that Leon would knock on Lyle’s door and concoct a reason to get Lyle out of the building.

The details of that reason?

Well, that would be down to Leon.

He was a fast thinker. His improvisation skills were second to none. It wasn’t without risk, but if anyone could pull it off, it was Leon.

Once Lyle was out of the apartment, Kane and Cage would enter. Then, once inside, Kane would use his own hacking skills to break into Lyle’s computers and erase every last trace of Cassie’s emails, files, and of course… the photos.

As with Leon’s part of the plan, there were no guarantees. Kane expected that as a hacker, Lyle would have a well-guarded set-up.

It wouldn’t be a walk in the park, not by a long shot.

But together, the three Daddies felt confident that they would be able to pull it off.

In Kane’s mind, there was no other option.

It was success or bust.

He felt like he owed it to Cassie. To do whatever he could in his power to look after her, protect her, be her savior.

This was the plan.

And now it was time to see how it would all play out…

With Leon ahead of them, the gang arrived at Lyle’s apartment building.

‘Okay, let’s hang back and wait until we see Leon and hopefully that asshole leave the building together,’ Cage said, exchanging a hopeful look with Kane. ‘We’ve got this. We just need the dice to fall in our favor.’

Kane nodded in agreement.

He had played plenty of high stakes games in the past. But it was only money at stake in those games of roulette and poker.

This was different.

Cassie’s happiness was on the line.

There wasn’t a monetary value that Kane could attach to that. It was vital that this plan succeeded.

‘You okay, kid?’ Kane asked Cassie. ‘It’s fine to be nervous or scared. I’ll protect you no matter what. You know that, right?’

Cassie nodded.

Kane could see the nerves written all over his Little’s face.

But he was also proud of how well Cassie was dealing with things. Kane sensed that while Cassie may have felt scared, she was coping.

Dealing with things.

Showing resilience.

Maybe Kane wasn’t doing such a bad job as a Daddy after all?

But there was no time to congratulate himself. Or do a deep dive into Cassie’s feelings.
