I lift my eyebrows. “What if I can?”
He groans. “Then you have to be on top.”
I laugh even harder. “I’m tired too, but if you wake up in the middle of the night and want to, I’d love to wake up to a surprise.”
“Is that right?” He winks at me.
I shrug one shoulder. “Yes. Would be a wonderful surprise.”
“Or we could have a morning delight.”
“Or both,” I point out.
He sighs. “Woman, you’re trying to make me die from an orgasm, aren’t you?”
“Just trying to provide enough cardio to count as exercise,” I say sweetly.
“Brutal,” he teases.
I beam before becoming more serious. “My life’s changed because of you.”
“For the better, I hope.”
“Without a doubt,” I assure him. “I wouldn’t give you up for anything.”
“I will never put you in the position where you would be at risk.”
My lips curl into a smile. “When can I transform again?”
He lets out a low chuckle. “I thought we were going to go to sleep.”
I grin and shrug one shoulder. “I like to keep you on your toes.”
He closes his eyes. “Is that right?”
“You bet.”
He laughs again, but even that sound is tired.
I kiss his cheek. “Let’s sleep.”
“Thank you.”
I laugh to myself and snuggle against him, and listening to the sound of his heartbeat lulls me to a peaceful, much-needed sleep.

Wakingup with Alex pressed against me is the best feeling in the world.
I swear I only just opened my eyes when she stirs.
“Good morning, sleepy head.”
“Mmm. Is it morning?” She yawns.
I chuckle. “I see that someone is still worn out.”
