“This feels good.”

“Yeah, it does.” He turned against me, cuffing my face enough to tilt my head back and steal a kiss.

“And easy…”

“Is that good or bad?”

“Neither, it just is, which I guess in a sense classifies as good.”

“And when things aren’t easy, are you still gonna fuck with me?” His smile was teasing but his eyes were serious.

“I love a good challenge.”

He chuckled and pressed his forehead to mine. “I don’t know if I want to be considered a challenge, but if it means you’re gonna ride this out with me, then I’ll take it. I also need you to know I’m going to do everything in my power to make your life better, not complicate shit for you.”

“That kinda sucks for you because I plan on overly complicating yours.”

I gripped his dick and stroked him back to life before moving around him and stepping into the shower. One more quick round before we left to go see Raiden seemed like the perfect idea to start this day off right.

“Daddy…”

“Yeah, man, what’s up?” Raiden stepped on the end of the shopping cart and dropped in a bag of oranges before he looked up at Grand with his tiny face pinched.

“Do you remember when I was in my mommy’s stomach?”

We both froze. He spoke so nonchalantly that Grand and I shared a look before he repeated the question for clarity. “In your mother’s stomach?”

“Yes, like that.” He pointed to a woman with her hand propped on her massive belly while she examined the rows of bananas.

“I remember.” Grand’s tone was heavy, like he had a hard time getting the words out but Raiden smiled.

“Was I a good baby? My art teacher is having a baby. She said that it’s a girl and she’s a good baby.”

A wave of emotion washed over Grand. I saw it in his expression but I felt it lingering around us. However, he managed a smile and brushed a hand over Raiden’s head. “Yeah, you were a good baby, except for at night when you wanted to play in your mommy’s stomach and kept her up all night.”

Raiden’s smile expanded. “Did I play with toys?”

Grand laughed, shaking his head. “No, man, not toys, just jumping around in there.”

After I settled on the potatoes I was looking over so I could bake some for dinner, Grand carefully navigated the shopping cart so we could finish the rest of our shopping but Raiden kept the conversation going.

“Are we going to have another baby so I can have a brother or sister?”

“Is that what you want?”

He nodded wildly. “But only one because my teacher said you have to share everything with your brother or sister and I don’t want to share all my stuff with a lot of people.” He frowned like he was considering the thought then he had eyes on his father again.

“But if we have another baby then I get to be a big brother and my teacher will bring me a cupcake when the baby gets here.”

I smiled and cut my eyes at Grand. This kid. He wanted a sibling because it guaranteed a cupcake.

“You don’t have to be a big brother to have cupcakes, Raidy. We can get some today.”

A smile split his face. “I know but I still want to be a big brother. And since my mommy is an angel and can’t have a baby in her stomach, then Saniya can do it since she’s your girlfriend.”

I almost tripped over my own feet when he casually offered me up as a baby incubator so he could have a sibling but Grand didn’t miss a beat. He handed Raiden a smile just as charming as the one that split his son’s face.

“What makes you think she’s my girlfriend?”
