“Yes. Did you eat?”

I should lie.

I look at Titan and I could swear he raised his brows. Do dogs even have brows?

“Titan says not to lie,” I sigh.

“Is that so?” Taylor responds. “Titan has always been a smart dog. Why did you want to lie, baby boy?”

“Cause I didn’t eat,” I admit. “I tried to eat something, but I felt sick. So, I came outside and sat on the swing instead.”

“How did you feel sick? Was it your head? Your tummy?”

“My tummy,” I nod. “It was really gurgly. But I did drink a whole bottle of water.”

“Good boy, Pup. Now, I want you to go inside and grab a protein drink and drink as much as you can.”

“What if I can’t?”

“Just drink as much as you can.”

Sighing, I stand and head back inside.

“Come on, Titan.”

***Taylor***

This is the first time I’ve left my boy home alone, and I’m not doing well.

“ID,” I tell the young lady.

“I’m a member here,” she says, her voice flirty as hell.

“No, you’re not,” I tell her. “I know the face of every single member.”

“I’m a guest of a member,” she tries again.

“It’s not guest night,” I say, not in the mood to deal with her shit.

“Come on,” she smiles. “I’ll make it worth your time if you let a pretty girl like me slip inside.”

I don’t say anything and just wait.

“Fine,” she whines. “But wait until I tell the owner how big of an asshole their doorman is.”

“Whose an asshole?” Blaze asks from inside the entrance.

“This guy,” the woman pouts. “Can you get your boss? Don’t worry, he knows who I am.”

“Sure thing,” Blaze smiles before turning and heading back inside.

“You’re in trouble now,” she laughs.

“Go on in, Mike,” I tell the man behind her.

“This woman could use a good punishment scene,” he mutters as he steps around her.

“I hear someone is looking for the owner,” Steel says, coming to my side.
