Gray winked at him, then got up and walked into the bathroom. No one would have to know that he was staring at the man’s ass the whole way, whishing he could have it again.

When the shower turned on, he knew he had to get his ass in gear, or he’d end up never leaving the hotel room. Would it be the worst thing in the world to stay with Gray? Probably not. But he had people he needed to get back to. People who depended on him, and right then, he could’ve cursed them all out. He didn’t, though. He just let out a sigh his mamma would’ve scolded him for.

He leaned over the side of the bed and reached for his pants, picking them up off the floor. He sat up to put them on, having just pulled up the zipper when he heard rustling from the hallway. He straightened, a frown settling on his forehead.

“Did you order room service?” he asked loudly, unsure if Gray heard him over the running water.

He started toward the entryway only to come to a sharp halt when two men appeared. When they saw him, they came to a stop too, and as they stared at each other, he felt like time froze for a second.

He took a step back, movement making his gaze drop to the men’s hands and the guns they were holding. Something flew past him and despite jerking to the side, his gaze never left the men, and he watched as something hit the man closest to him in the chest. A handle protruded from the middle of the man’s upper chest and as he grabbed it, his knees buckled, and he hit the floor hard.

Marco jumped behind the couch before the other man could aim his gun at him and as he pressed his back against the couch, he cursed himself for leaving his home without his gun. That was a real rookie move. Rome would kick his ass if he ever found out. If he survived, that was.

He could hear the sounds of a scuffle, but no gunshots had gone off yet, so he grabbed a vase off the coffee table. He dumped out the flowers and water, then cautiously rounded the corner into the entryway.

Gray was on top of the other man. He jerked his left arm back and Marco realized he was removing a knife from the man’s throat. The movement caused some blood to splatter across the wall, and he couldn’t help but stare at it. It was quite the contrast to all the white in the hotel suite.

Gray stood slowly, arms hanging by his sides, blood dripping onto the floor from the knife. When he turned around and his stormy grays met Marco’s gaze, all he felt was safe. Gray was giving him a once-over, clearly trying to determine if he was hurt. He wasn’t, and his heart jumped when he saw relief hit Gray’s eyes.

Gray had drops of blood on his left cheek and the shirt he was wearing which had been white when he put it on was now a dark red.

“You can put that back,” Gray said, gaze dropping to the vase in Marco’s right hand.

Marco stepped back and put the vase on the coffee table, eyes never leaving Gray.

Gray ran his forearm across his mouth, smearing some of the blood on his cheek, then used what little of his shirt wasn’t blood-stained to dry off his left hand.

Gray stepped across the body lying on the floor between them. Marco looked down at the two bodies, watching as their blood colored the beige carpet a dark red.

“Were they after me or you?” Gray asked.

He glanced up, meeting the man’s gaze.

He was well aware of the people who wanted him dead. These two?

“I’ve never seen them before,” he said.

Gray cursed, then crouched down by one of the bodies to search the guy’s pockets.

“I think it’s time you told me your real name,” Marco said.

Steely gray eyes met his.

“You need to leave. I’ll take care of this.”

Marco crossed his arms and cocked a brow at him. He wasn’t going anywhere without some answers.

“Who are you?”

Gray stood, a phone in hand which he put down on the narrow console table next to him, head cocked to the side as he moved toward Marco.

“My name is Neil, but you’re asking the wrong question.”

Marco blinked, taking in the name before the rest of the man’s words registered.

“Whatare you?”

Neil’s smile had his heart speeding up. Then the man stepped closer, and it had his dick waking up. It really shouldn’t have come as a surprise that danger turned him on. Especially when this man was involved.
